I use a lubricity agent to ensure the diesel fuel pump life and other fuel rail, injector components etc life is maximised. I also use a decarboniser every tank. I have been doing this for at least 7 years and have never had an injector/pump/ carbon build up issue. Fuel economy also does not get worse with age. I go way above and beyond the simplistic service schedule as recommended by the manufacturer. I buy from the Manufacturer in Australia. I found out about this manufacturer via a specialist 4x4 repair shop. They make other products as well. Not going to mention them as its for me to know and you to find out. He he. I dont want their prices going up due to demand thank you very much

The primary lubricant that once was in fuel, was removed from the fuel about 10 to 12 years ago, that was sulfur. If you want to keep your fuel system operating properly keep your tank at least a quarter of a tank full, as a general rule, and lubricate the fuel once in awhile. One of the best lubricants you can use in your fuel is Marvel Mystery Oil. After they took the sulfur out a lot of General Motors automobiles gas gauges quit working because the lubricant not being in the fuel was damaging the fuel sending units in all cars but General Motors cars were even more susceptible to the damage.

Ok Scotty, I have a question. Ive heard the argument many times against running out of gas or running the car into the low fuel light because all the gunk settles to the bottom of the tank and it will get sucked up into the fuel system and cause problems down the road. My question is, Isnt the fuel pick up at the bottom of the tank anyway? Given that dirt or physical contaminants and unwanted things like water are going to settle to the bottom regardless of how full the tank is, wouldnt it be picked up anyway if thats going to be a problem? Clarifications appreciated

Figuring out how far you can go on a tank of gas isnt really that hard. Its simple math. Theres no need to run your tank dry to find out. I recently bought a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport, and I wanted to figure out how accurate the computers MPG figures are. I just filled the tank, drove until I had a quarter of a tank left, refilled and then divided the number of gallons into the amount of miles I traveled until I reached a quarter of a tank. come to find out, the computer estimate is pretty close. Currently getting 40 mpg.

hey man, i run with petrol mixed with diesel on my accord (2006) 2. 2 icdti, now the car run like has some dead hp, still go to red light no issue, start and drive fast, no limp mode, smoke, have some ticking betwen engine and air box, only issue is two second delay from pedal to engine, amd i dont feel that pressure wich push into your seat while driving, in the third oil and filter replace, all good on machine, even honda say its ok, no light on, replace maf/map, egr, cheers

I have never heard that the gas lubes the fuel pump. I was always told the fuel kept the pump cool and it could overheat if you ran it low on fuel. I try to never let my vehicles go below a 1/4 tank. I have a chevy pickup that wont run if you are at 1/8th of a tank and back in to a forward sloping parking spot. Sounds strange but it has a long saddle tank. If you back into a forward sloping spot all the fuel goes to the front end of the tank away from the fuel intake

I have a 99 Dodge Ram Van with only 130, 000 miles on it. I have a very weird transmission or engine issue. It runs great every day until I use the air conditioner. While the air is running I notice it starts to skip or jump while driving and after I park my gear shift locks up and I cant easily go into reverse without a big kickback. This only happens after I run the air conditioner. When I dont use the air conditioning it runs fine. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi Scotty, Im a new follower with my first question. How do the Mazda suvs rate? I have had an 07 Miata for 9 years and its been great. I bought it on ebay and lucked out. Do you have a video on Mazda Suvs? My 2003 Saturn Vue fwd four banger is still running good but the law of averages will catch up to the Vue. Their auto. tranmissions arent too good. Hahaha. Thanks man, Tim class of 70. My first car was a 67 Rambler American. Adequate car. haha

Saw your video of 2011 on how to change car ac compressor, I have a quick question can you make a video on how to use car ac at home use it to cool small room or by making a small room from plastic sheets. Cool breeze from it will also be pretty cool. Can you show how can we make it run on 12 volt from my solar battery setup. I cruntly have 12 volt fans but i am thinking of car ac may be two for medium size room.
