Here\'s Why I\'m Putting This on a Car jose luis sanchez gil: Thanks Scotty. I have a '66 Baja Bug and a '67 Karmann Ghia and both cars don't have a working park brake. I will save this video, so that when I get around to fixing them, I will have a clue. My daily driver is a '94 Toyota Camry coupe with a 4 cylinder. It only has 153K miles on it, so it should last me another 10 or so years. :)

I've watched you in several videos just giving brake drums a little tap an off they come. Never in my life with any car I have ever owned has a brake drum came off that easy. I've always had to turn the adjuster wheel, otherwise the shoes ALWAYS hang up on the drums. Maybe one day you could do a video on how to remove stubborn drums.

I wonder what shops are thumbs downing your vids. Maybe dealers or big Twenty Bay Boys. Either way the numbers are fairly consistent. I say, thumbs up for you. Finger up for them. God forbid we should learn anything about our cars without paying 100 bucks per hour for them to upsale us broke. Thanks Scotty. Information is gold.

My BMW is now starting and when I try starting it nothing happens no dashboard lights come on, no crank, nothing just completely dead. The battery Im using is still completely new. Im not sure if Ive blown a fuse or not. And Im not sure if I should try to jump start it. Please let me know.

Am I the only one who is annoyed by the commercial that follows Scotty far too often with Rocko, the small skulled dim witted mechanic? A phrenologist would have determined his IQ to be barely enough for him to tie his shoes let alone be trusted with tools or to be near a car.

Scotty has good info but he shouldn't complain about how the air-cooled Volkswagon was designed when it's been the best designed car that broke records with 26. 5 million of bugs sold and being the longest lasting and cheapest to maintain car of all time.

Just got done doing this to my 1971 super beetle and put four wheel disc brakes to make my bug more safe to drive those drum brakes that they made in 1971 dont stop worth a crap so my bug has a new master cylinder new brake lines and new re reservoir

Hey Scotty, today my dad was driving on the highway going avout 50-60 and my little brother shifted the car into reverse, it's a 2018 Camry, do you think there would be any transmission damage or something my dad shifted it back into drive instantly.
reply

My first car was a beetle, I made it into an off-road hunting car, I split the e brake down the middle and bent them to make a T handle so I could brake the spinning tire. Didn't think it was to bad an idea for a 15 year old kid back in 67

These cars are nice, but to get them to be roadworthy for modern times you have to install the suspension/assembly or even the whole suspension subframe from similarly sized modern car, and even engine/transmission has to be newer too
