This is very interesting, and nicely done Alex but it seems to me that an important lesson is one that Scotty talks about all the time. Car companies have no problem selling cars that are very poorly and hastily engineered and not based on extensive real world testing. An engine that self contaminates? Whatever happened to running a prototype engine for months on a test stand, perhaps until failure, and looking at every part under a microscope? My suspicion is that testing is mostly virtual these days. Are you listening Boeing?

Man an Acura Legend? I haven't seen one of those in literally YEARS. My folks owned one and has it was 11 yrs. At the end of the 11 yrs i asked my Dad if he would but another Acura. He said Hell No haha he had allot of problems with his. He also worked for Acura he isn't a hater haha he just prefers Lexus now over Acura. As for the WRX? Good cars but be careful buying them used. Too many people F them up then sell them.

Should I buy the 2012 civic si or 2012 wrx? Pros and cons, please help. I love both of them I love the rumbleeeeeee omg But prefer the more reliability of the si but it's less fun. Scared of the headgaskets problems of the wrx poor mpg but God that rumble kills me. I don't wanna go to the mechanic often. but I guess a well taken of the wrx should be OK? Someone with experience please help.

WOW Amazing what you can do to a car if you have a BUTT LOAD of money and your companies parking lot to play in on the weekends. 4: 34 The poor mans solution I call it, and that's the ONLY thing about this car a poor man can afford. A rich man showing off his toy we don't need. I come here to learn how to keep my car running for little or no money because that's what I have. No money.

A good way to reduce metal filings from circulating through any car engine is to magnetize the oil plug. Eventually metal filings will pass near it and be attracted to the magnetized plug and stick to it. When you change the oil you take a moment to wipe the filings off onto a cloth or paper towel before putting the plug back in place.

You can tell from Brandon's body language that he was born to be a High Performance Mod guy: ) Great job but driving that car in that parking lot is absolutely unacceptable. No matter how empty it is there are still animals around you might not see. Please take it to the race track or Don't drive like that in public

Hey Scotty quick question I'm going to change the oil in a used car I got it says it required sae5w-30 but a guy at AutoZone told me to use 10-40 pure oil not sytentic since the car is old and has 172, 800 miles. it probably will do it better if it's motor oil he said? what should I do?

My dream car and that is what it will remain. After the dealership finance told me I would have a 600 monthly note, I cried and went home. And just think; these are used to race through rugged forest trails during the dead of winter, with a few high-end modifications.
