Today we're travelling on a line belonging to the RhB (Rhaetian Railway) - who have the largest network of all private Swiss railway operators, albeit a narrow gauge network. The Chur - Arosa line is an adhesion railway with gradients of up to 60. I've included height above sea level in meters with station names to give you an idea of the rate of descent. Consist: RAe 8/12 + 4 passenger coaches. Total 210t, 122m. Total seats: 310 (60 1st class, 250 2nd class seats) Special

Another great ride to X-A-SISE too. From cloud/fog 12, 000 meters to 500 ( give or take.
Interesting how man, for centuries, has carved along the mountain sides and into the bellies to provide pathways and viaducts to farm-able / live-able environments.

Beautifull video, so many sharp curve at one point I tought we would see our rear of the train emerging from the fog!
At 19: 45 on the right of the big bridge, is that a recent land slide?

Wusste nicht das alle diese Orte von der Bahn erreichbar sind. Da sind bestimmt viele Herbergen fuer Touristen dabei. Wunderschoen. An so einem Platz wuerde Ich gerne sein.

Is there another trip where the tracks zigzag as much as on this trip? Enjoyed the scenery very much. I love it. Did any of the passengers on board get dizzy?

Excellent, do you have a video going to Luzern, I was visiting the area in 2004 and we stopped at Giswill, would like to see the area again.
Thanks!

Beautiful. The fog made it mysterious and it looked like Jurassic Park. was expecting a T. Rex to hop across the tracks any time. :) Thank you.

I used to think it is possible to duck in and out of a cloud on a plane, but this train does the same.
