I have watched many drivers view videos, mainly from Britain but Recently came across yours and am absolutely captivated! What a beautiful country is Norway and your videos show it in superbly. Thank you very much and please keep them coming. Just one request if it is possible. My knowledge of Norwegian is zero, so would it be possible to give the pronunciations of place names either spoken or phonetically? I take it that Al would rhyme with all, ball, tall etc. Some are obvious but many are not. Anyway You have here a great fan!

Another breathtaking video - such exquisite winter Nature! I have two questions, please. Sometimes I see the little sign to blow the whistle while you are inside a rock tunnel. Do the people beyond the other end of the tunnel hear the whistle? Seems like it would just deafen you. :) Also, do you ever see the northern lights while driving through the dark countryside in winter?

I took a ride on the Flam Line in July 2009 (in one of the carriages, not the engine) and it is very nice and interesting to see the scenery now in a winter dress. In one of videos I saw recently I have noticed that the engines look different from what is on my photos from July 2009 (they were dark green and looked less streamlined then. Does the Flam Line use different engines now?

Just Great! Thanks. What type of recording device was used? I imagine (and hope) that at some point in the digital near future we will be able to view both the front and sides of the scenery the train passes. Now that would be something. Kins of like the Cinerama movies of the '60s. Also has anyone ever taken shelter in the tunnels due to train power failure?

A few days ago I wondered what it'd be like going back down the valley, now I know, spectacular! I think I'd like to pitch a tent for a week and gaze out onto the valley from on top of the rail cover right there at the beginning at Myrdal or at the first stop at Vatnahalsen. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Thanks HCG!

Yet another fantastic and picturesque video HCG - thanks a lot. A question - every now and again there are inverted yellow triangles with numbers on them - what purpose do they serve?
Being able to ask a train driver this sort of question is wonderful - long may your videos continue!

That is one steep ride. That has to take everything you have to stay focused and keep your speed slow and to not overheat your brakes? Those stops from Myrdal to Kardal seem to be in the middle of no-where. People must work there in mines or hydro electric dams in such remote areas?

Enamored by the beauty of that area! Especially in the winter! When you are going to Flam it's all downhill. Noticed quite a bit of braking action at times (understandably) Can you use engine traction help you slow down? Thanks for your responses to all our questions! (1 of 10K)

Just at 38 minutes, there is a white house followed by a red barn on the right. Across the track, and also beyond the barn, there is some kind of crop plant that looks like grape vines. Surely not! Do you know what is growing there?
