Tim, that was a wonderful, relaxing journey. The locomotive breaths and sighs, puffs, pops and wheezes; yet majestically sails onward through a part of the world that I am yet to visit. The sights, sounds and history add layers of relevance and reflection. Where are we going? Why did we always rush about like headless chickens? The past created the present: relish the glimpses, sights and sounds whilst we can. Peter

Hi I watched this video right through the other day and I wanted to comment on how it looked as though the line had not been used for a long time. I was not signed in properly but am now. As I return it seems I might have been wrong about the lack of use of the line but perhaps that shows up later. Thanks for a great steam train trip.

Are those headlamps -modernized-? I feel like they really don-t belong mounted that high and spoil the look of the locomotive. If it had lanterns up there, was it not possible to simply fit the lanterns with hidden projectors or something? they look like they came off a 2cv or a trabant

Very nice Tim. A thumbs-up to this video. Oh, by the way. What was the locomotive shunting at Liboch station? Was the train connecting with other carriages?

This loco makes a kind of -tick-tock- noise as it runs along the rails, like a clock! I'm half expecting it to -chime-! That would be -alarming-! LOL

The condition of the permanent way is just astoundingly good. If the engine is in as good a shape, no wonder it's still going strong.

Imagine that this locomotive could carry Austrian soldiers towards the battlefields and trenches of World War I.
