Compilation of head on train crashes. When my parents where on the way to home in train I was just six months old and they experienced train crash to a school bus of kids they where in the last boogie and their boggie stopped right unto the dead bodies of those little kids my mom dad still tell me that thing is still stuck in their brains and they have sleepless nights because of that!
Train crashes are no joke!
I hope no one ever experience any train accidents!

Who wanna play iron-chicken?
Anyways, let it be a word of warning from my side. You've probably heard of pilots dying of heart attack mid-flight as of late. I myself won't board a plane in the next 10 years. But what if something of similar nature occurs to one of the train operators? I suggestion would be: Watch this video and prepare for the worst. If pilots die, passengers will surely die. If trains crash, we may survive -- just be ready.

At 2: 00, that's a computer-generated recreation of the Southall disaster. Killed 7 people. The rest of the simulation is interesting, to see how the carriages behaved on impact, but then when you see actual footage of the wreckage, you end up wondering how only 7 people died.

Those last two engineers were brilliant-one jumped after throwing on all the brakes anticipating a bad crash, the other engineer-having already stopped-threw his train in full reverse to try and minimize the impact, instead preventing it altogether.
reply

Do these usually happen due to brake failures or is it guaranteed to happen during these uncoordinations? Because i've seen modern trains brake way faster than that. Some of these didnt even seem like trying.
reply

Dude nearly killed himself for no reason a the end. Just as good as the drive into it probably. Also people run away when probably nothing is going to happen at that point. But in some ways that is a good idea.

Those last two trains had look like they had beef fr. The passenger train was like I m here now what s good? And the freight train was like Naw I m good i don t want no smoke!
reply

The fact that this has even happened this many times is mindboggling. You'd think for such large and powerful machines there'd be some sort of monitering in place to prevent collisions.

When I've been on those high speed trains in Europe and see another train whizzing past us at 200mph I can't help but wonder what two trains colliding at 200mph would look like.
reply

I take the train frequently enough to have nightmares about this, also the very track I travelled on are also used by express trains who only does 3 stops on a 300km stretch.
reply

Imagine just sitting on your seat and suddenly there is an impact which throws you upfront and then seeing your coach a few feet above the ground and almost tilting
reply

So why exactly are trains in the US going in opposite directions on only one track? Surely 2 pairs of tracks are the standard, one for one way and one for the other.
reply

It takes four times the stopping distance for an 18 wheeler to stop once brakes are applied. I can only imagine the psi to stop a locomotive.
reply

how I thought the trains were like: gimme a lil smooch
the secondary train: hahaha we gonna do it forever
the first one: OH GOD-

reply

Signals are there for a reason. When you don t pay attention you run through a stop or go off on a siding that you shouldn t have taken.
reply

like. do they not have signal in the US that shows what the upcoming signal is going to show? Or some sort of pre-signal?
