Yes I guess your train was nice but traveling by train isn't always so easy in Germany.
The biggest problem is that like 65% of their trains are delayed
Most of the Trains are full and you must sit on the floor. And the Prices are really expensive. So you can pay over 100- for your ticket. And most of the DB-Trains are really dirty inside, and most of the toilets are so dirty that they're just unusual.
But you has luck. On the other connections in Germany, they serve more private companies that have better and cheaper trains and routes, but not so much routes like Deutsche Bahn [DB] (German Railway [DB].
So your DB-Train isn't always so fine like that (-) But I hope in a few years, all DB-Trains are like that!
Nice travel!

Why are you calling regional services a -product-, like it is by DB Regio? Regional trains in Germany are 100% subsidized by the states, and they also decide how the train looks like, the seat distance, whether there-s a toilet onboard etc. DB Regio is just fulfilling the contract with the state and not running the services using their own money. Importantly, the ticket prices are also set by the local transport associations.

the exterior colors of German trains keep getting uglier every year.
The worst example are some relatively new regional DB trains in the east that are mostly black with signal red doors -- a very unpleasant atmosphere especially when they pass by, almost threatening.
Truly a symbol of disrespect towards the majority of customers and approved by the boards of DB.

Very nice and in depth reports! Any chance of trying some central-eastern-ish railways like CD or ZSSK? We do have very similar trains like in Germany, unfortunately sometimes I feel like we are intentionally ignored as a poor east (which is partly true but still the difference isn't that significant nowadays.

If you-re into your double-decker trains you should check out the new DesiroHC trains by Siemens used on some of the RRX Lines in North Rhine-Westphalia. They-re pretty unique. These Bombardier double decker trains are so common in Germany it-s really hard to get excited about the Twindexx; )

Great trip report. looks like a solid product! -
One really small thing. in English you wouldn-t say Toilets Time (which is grating to native speakers). you-d use the singular and say Toilet Time. - I guess it-s a bit like we-d say -dinner time- or -bath time-. -

Allright! Nice video as always. And you were lucky, that you were able to ride with the new Twindexx. They are very unreliable and there are only a few in service yet. Realy looking forward for your first ICE- Report.
Btw they should be in service since 2016.

Beautiful DB double decker train. Ample space and baggage counters as well. Here in Belgium, the trains always seem to be narrower, and never plug points everywhere near seats, except in the first class ( not so sure about it.

Here in Germany we more use paper towels than hand dryer, because they are more hygienic and you can also use them to wipe your face oder to touch the door handle when leaving the toilet.

If you are going to make some tripreports in germany, in the future. Than I can highly recommend the -Marschbahn- which is a railway line which is famous for running over the northsea.

Wow the interior of Flensburg station is gorgeous, pity there isn't more to do in the station. It probably doesn't get enough traffic to justify restaurants and retail though.

I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't show the viewers the very scenic Rendsburg canal bridge which used to be the longest railroad bridge in Germany (for 99 years)

Those handwash basins where you're supposed to hold your hand under it in the hope that it triggers some water to come out eventually are absolutely bloody annoying.

Bombardier is building similar double deck coaches without engines for the US. Specifically built for New Jersey transit. We will see these coaches soon over here.

Great video! - That train sure has surprisingly good ceiling space. Have you tried Finnish double deck coaches or sleepers? They really have lots of space

wow, I hope you are lucky enough not to get on an ICE 4 later on. it is a big embarrassment, not a proper train compared to ICE 1, 2, 3.

It took me close to the end of the video to realize your kind of humor: Great way of ironic presentation of a DB train, wonderful satire!
