I want to experience travel in a sleeper train car one of these days. I once took a Via Rail overnight train from Toronto ro Montreal, but there were no sleeper cars, and no one told me the train would stop for most of the night near Brockville to reach Montreal in the morning. I don't think there is any more overnight travel on the Windsor-Quebec City corridor. It would be nice if one day there would be sleeper car service.

Dear friend, truly, any train journey is interesting. This is world class. I once took a metre-gauge (or narrow) train from a small town called Murtizapur to another small town called Yavatmal, in Maharashtra, in India. Sadly, this train, apparently maintained by the British was discontinued. I fondly look back at some photographs I took, winter time. Cheers & stay blessed. from Bangalore.

Really great report, it brings back memories. Jeg used to travel quite a lot between Paris and Copenhagen in my younger days (I had a French girlfriend) and I usually traveled with the old Danish sleeper train from Hamburg to Copenhagen Central station, and I can tell you they were quite outdated even back then! -

14: 00 you keep putting your hand on the glass to move the door rather than using the handles. This is considered bad etiquette as it leaves our hand residue on the window, which makes it look dirty to the person behind you. This is just a friendly reminder to suggest you use the door handles going forward.

3000k seems an extremely high price to pay for a service like this. You had to spend way too much time on the ground and even change train. With the same price you can fly (round trip) to NY with Finnair, directly from Stockholm. It takes less time then Hamburg - Stockholm with the train

Another great video about beautiful trains and landscapes. It must be nice to live in a country where the government invests in such things and you don't have people writing graffiti all over the station walls and the trains themselves. or even stealing parts of the traintracks.

I'd like to do this trip with my kids when seeing my mum and other relatives back in Sweden. Going from England to Hamburg by train and then train from Hamburg to Stockholm: ) and I'd be getting a onsie just for the trip lol
reply

Thnx for the clip. This is the trip I'd like to take as well. Last time I was in Hamburg a few years ago, the station was being renovated. Glad to see that it was completed. --Charlie from Thailand.

When I went on a German language trip to Lindau, we went on the train from Sweden to Germany and we nearly got lost, not remembering which train was ours, but we found it. Back in 1993

Actually the train doesn-t stop in Copenhagen because of how the tracks are built. Check the map of tracks and you see they need to turn around if they stop at Copenhagen central.

Glad you are able to talk now in your vlogs, which is good, otherwise to read the captions it deviates the video watching, the more you talk and less the captions the better. Cheers

Enjoy Hamburg station (my home station btw) while it lasts, plans were recently finalized/presented to remodel/expand it A TON.
Most of its look will be lost.

I used to take the Hamburg-Stockholm train that went via the Puttgarden > Rodby ferry in Denmark. Avoided the Storbaelt. When did they phase out that route?

Excellent video, wonderful titles, and thank you for bravely hanging out the window! I love train travel and you have piqued my interest in the Scandinavian countries.

wow, I was very surprised at the good prices for food in the dining car. A$17 for schnitzel is a bargain. I thought Sweden prices would be DOUBLE that?
reply

Beautiful, and the food looks great. However, I'd never travel in a sleeper car with strangers. I'd go with trusted friends only.

I am sorry to say that at 15: 50 your jeans was not properly zipped. Nevermind. I love your videos. -Simply Railway

The Krogen car looks very nice. Shame it's not on the train for the full journey from Hamburg.

Is it allowed to say this? Those Swedish coaches remind me of potato bugs.

22: 27 Last time i checked: Most trains don-t have fire alarms like that.
