-CoasterFan2105 Adobe calls it C or J cuts. Instead I stack the two videos. Line them up by the sound tracks (movies use a clapper at the start. Then cut one sound track and change the transparency (Adobe calls this opacity) of the upper video in the stack. My second camera is not as good as my primary so I do not do much of this. Movies rarely let a single camera view run more than 3 seconds and rarely have fewer than 3 cameras in a shoot.

I think it really depends on the effect you want to get. both camera's work great, and they each have their own advantage's. BTW Mike, nice video, I got to ride this train myself ten years ago when I was in Durango on vacation. the railroad does an incredible job keeping those steam engines running. I'd really like to go back and ride on the train again someday.

Much prefer the b&w version, especially if you're gonna video superb steam locos like that one! As for the motorist at 0. 40, if he usually drives like that he's lucky to be alive! Or maybe it was a woman driver! Whatever.

-maddennis55 Yeah, that's what I like about the IR, it really brings out those details that are hard to see at night. It makes it worth the B&W for the better detail.

So there's a guy in the middle of the road waving a stop sign on a stick pointing a flashlight at my car and I have to be told to stop. Geniuses abound!

I like the xa10; the clarity at night is great! You can't see the color as well after dark, and the IR detail is worth it!
