For their 2011 railfest, the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad ran a photo charter train replicating a consist seen during the transition era from Tuscan red to Pullman green (mid to late 1920s) on the Denver and Rio Grande. Here, we see the train on August 20th, 2011 first at the twin bridges just south of Elk Park, the newer one replacing the older one in 1964, and then at the Needleton tank where the crew of the special posed for a group shot

awsome video Mike. the Durango and Silverton is one of the best tourist operation's i've ever ridden. it's easy to see why this railroad attract's so many people. I'm sure the steam engine's are just one of many thing's that attract's the many visitor's that come to visit the railroad.
