To me, the poll is going to be skewed towards commuter trains because this is a 20 minute video of just commuter trains. So, if you got to the 18 minute mark, you are going to probably vote for commuter trains because you just watched a 20 minute video of commuter trains.
I would imagine their are some people that only watch freight trains. Some people only watch steam trains, etc.
To me, to get a more accurate poll, the video has to be every type of train possible in it, and you have to tell people that every type of train is in this video. If you have a thumbnail of a freight train, than the commuter (ONLY people) won't watch it, etc.
For me, Freight & Toy / Model trains are my favorite. Subway / electric are next. Than, you have Monorails - even at airports (I will count those as trains also. Amtrak / Commuter diesel are next. Amusement park trains are after that. Steam are my least favorite. Steam trains to me are too much the same color. If they had more color on each of them, I would like them a lot better. To me, not enough variety. So, many are just painted black which is funny because Thomas & Friends all the steam engines are different colors, but the diesels are painted black.

How is it that this system can have 7 lines stretching 859km and have ridership of only 40k per weekday while Caltrain, a service with just one line stretching 125km can have 50% more ridership while operating in a smaller city in the same state? I mean the trains and stations etc. look nice but come on. Comparatively tiny Seattle's main line has higher ridership than any route in this system.

Public Transportation doesn't have a great reputation. However, I find the Metrolink easy and convenient to use. It beats fighting traffic on the 91, 15, or 215. While they are driving, I'm napping, reading, or playing cards with the family.

Would have been more interesting if it would have included more pull outs - like 15: 53 Still, even that was boring, because you couldn't hear any throttle up. The new Diesels are really boring, industrial crap. No character.

Those old school p2 horns will be missed, compared to the dying goose horns on the new metrolink engines and cab cars, these p2s sound as good as an s3l when compared to the new metrolink horns.

Are Amtrak ticket good on metrolink trains? because some Amtrak trains accept metrolink tickets. Also a few Amtrak surfliner trains will stop at stations that are metrolink trains only during rush hour.

I'm hearing the sound of the horns on some of these cab cars, and I think: And they say the horn on the F125 sounds weird!
