What happened to incorporating some elegance in automotive design These cars look garish for no good reason. Only Mazda appears interested in creating beautiful concept cars. The Toyota Corolla will look nothing like the concept, as Toyota rarely carries design concepts to production. I understand why automotive manufacturers are losing big. They're asking insane cash for underpowered, dull-looking cars made of plastic. I'm deeply saddened by the state of the automotive industry.
I genuinely don't care what kind of fuel my car uses, or how little carbon it produces. Personal cars represent less than 10% of greenhouse gases produced globally, but the auto industry is dying as manufacturers spend billions in an attempt to cut emissions by 2%. It's a useless drop in the bucket.
A single coal burning powerplant produces the emissions of thousands of cars each DAY and the USA depends on them to produce 60% of America's electricity. Your EV relies on fossil fuel (coal, oil or gas) to charge it each night. The more EVs, the more fossil fuels burned. EVs are a scam if they're intended to reduce emissions. You're a fool if you assume you're doing anything for the environment by driving an EV.

Super cool, all these cars! I can see Lexus and Chevy pods zooming quietly, privately downtown. Airport shuttles, medical-need minivans like the van, cool. Corolla. awesome. Mazda, beautiful. Subaru, FINALLY. Century, APPROVE! I'm over 50, love push-rod V-8s, hate cats (catalytic converters) because loud pipes save lives. But, yeah, all these cars are awesome. Can't deny what my eyeballs and COMMON SENSE for comfort tell me.

Toyota is going down hill, that Corolla is so ugly. Honda civic will continue to outsell it. And idk why they’re making a century brand to compete with Bentley and rolls Royce. We need cheap cars, not luxury cars that will sit. Bring back scion! Cheap affordable cars that were reliable during the 2008 financial crisis.

Some crazy looking concepts, especially from the Toyota Group. Personally, I'm the most excited for Subaru's two STi concepts; they look so good, and I really hope they bring them to Europe, and then that awesome Toyota Land Cruiser FJ!
Let's see how many of these prototypes actually make it on our roads; )

Why do we need smart Tech, when you can just attach your smart phone to your car and connect with bluetooth So much money wasted in infotainment systems and useless computers when all you need is to connect your phone to the car. No need for screens except your smart phone. Keep the buttons, and knobs.

Japanese carmakers are at a point of maturity that Europeans SHOULD be at now. Yes, Chinese carmakers can do a lot for a lower price but Japanese cars are the ones we REALLY want.

What i take away from this, is that all modern car design language is vomit inducing. Car design died with the introduction of the EV.

Japan make nothing of worth anymore & looking at these prototypes thats not going to change. What a depressingly boring range of concepts.

I thought that single seater Lexus was awesome. We do really need to be embracing 'alternative' forms of individual transportation
