By now all fans must know about the water injector probkem that caused 4014 to run very low on water in Louisiana. The only co power was the diesel that had to push it to where it could refill it's 75, 000 gallon water tank. 4014 is a piece of history and it is best to not take risks. If it had been allowed to run dry it would have exploded. They kept the boiler going the whole time, throttled back I live in the NE and would have to travel to see it. Well worth the trip.

Yes, the steam engines are awesome, but you have to realize that it's not everyday that people get to see entire Union Pacific passenger cars, and dome cars on the railroad. The entire train is awesome to see. I wish you wouldn't skip the rest of the train. Thanks for filming what you did though. I think it would have been cool too if they added a Union Pacific caboose. They have to have one of them laying around.

I was fortunate enough to catch the big boy in Victorville California. I took some pictures and a long video of the mighty engine taking off. There was a large crowd gathered to see such a beautiful and famous engine.

Oh yes the Union Pacific Big boy one of the biggest steam train in the world and also one of my favorite train that train is so big and make other steam engines look bad

Was this two or more different consists? Some scenes have both 4014 and 844 and others have only 4014. Also the newer diesel electrics change from scene to scene.
