Top 5 natural alternatives to the contraceptive pill alibob1986: I think it's funny how many people have seemingly congregated on this post just to dismiss what's being said. And a quick glance shows that many are men and so probably aren't so concerned of the effects of the pill on your body and health. So anyway. I think there are some interesting ideas on here. I personally wouldn't ever trust anything as being as foolproof as medicine but as someone who is very keen the he here so stop using hormonal contraception because it hates me there are things here that I will be looking into in more detail. This video is for ideas no? The lady is not saying these are the only methods that work, she's just providing alternatives to those who may be interested. Sheesh

Taking charge of your fertility/ sympto thermal fertility awareness method are on par with the pills success rate with perfect use. Come on people! This is truly liberating to have non hormonal/chemcial methods for those of use who can NOT tolerate them. While the pill does seem to regulate and help some, it can really mess with your body for others. FAM changed me life. For real. It needs to be talked about more as an option so women can make informed healthcare decisions. Thanks Freelee!

I'll just stick to my nexplanon. Going on two years of no cramps that were so severe I would black out sometimes, no dizziness so severe I couldn't stand sometimes, and no underwear forever stained because I never knew when my period would start (breaks in between periods would be anywhere from 5 days to two months with absolutely no pattern. Absolutely no negative side effects so far aside from an unnoticeable scar on my arm: .

Many woman use birth control pills not for the contraceptive aspect, but for an abundance of other reasons such as problems with their menstrual cycles. Sometimes there is just no other way to treat your period problems, its either the pill or excruciating pain, 9 days of heavy bleeding, and vomiting every single month. With that said I feel like Freelee is judging people for their pill usage.

I only take the pill because my period is so bad I cant move, and I have a high pain tolerance. My back went out and I put on a back brace and worked a 9 hour shift in a kitchen through it all. So my womanly pains is rather extreme, and it lasts two weeks. I literally only got almost two weeks of freedom before extreme pain. How can you go natural and not get your period?

Lemon juice is often full of bacteria and fungal spores. it's a CRAZY idea using it as an alternative contraceptive. I can only imagine what sort of nasty infections that could cause. Don't do it girls! Just because you perceive something to be 'natural' does not mean it is healthy, and just because something is 'synthetic' does not mean it is 'toxic'.

I'm sorry, BUT birth control is for not getting pregnant and other various diseases. I'm going to pass on what YOU claim can be a preventative from studies you found, and go with what doctor's and scientists say to use. I'm not risking serious complications of my health because you have some idiotic ideals.

I've been using the diaphragma for the last 5 years succesfully. i also check myself and know when my cervical mucus is fertile.
When i've any issue with itching down there i wash myself with vinegarwater 1/10.
Vinegar and lemons are sour and have a low ph level, like the vagina does too.
