A Skinny twig on carbs? + Bitten on the ass! + Q & A Lilli: Dear Freelee and ANYONE who can help- I have been vegetarian for a year and I'm recently vegan because of you. I am never going back! My friend (vegetarian for 35 years) who is 67 just visited her doctor. She is having health issues, and I'm not sure the specifics, but it was an emergency and her only cure was to eat protein, or she would get even more ill. Her doctor told her that she HAS to start eating 3oz of meat per meal. She told me to watch what i eat and not get lazy about protein, and I don't know who to believe. You are in your thirties and lean, fit, happy, and healthy. She is almost 70 and is in a health crisis. You say to eat less protein, which I have been doing. She needs to eat more protein, so much more that it would take a lot of plant eating to make up for it. I can't imagine ever eating meat again, please tell me if you think there would be a way to avoid this issue and keep my protein levels low!

Freelee's diet is sooooo bad for your pancreas and your overall digestive system, please do not do it! Anyone who is a health and medicine major in college, myself included, knows how bad this diet is. Your body cannot digest the sugar from 40-50 bananas, or the sugar from 30-40 oranges, without doing damage. When you intake that much sugar at one time, good sugar or bad, it is HARD for your body to digest and you are damaging your pancreas every time. It may be a slow damage but the damage will add up. You want to boost your metabolism? Take 5000mg of vitamin C a day, that is what boosts the chemical process in your body(also known as your metabolism. Vitamin C will speed up your metabolism, please don't do this diet, everything I have seen Freelee promote goes against everything I have learned from every one of my classes, which should say something since I am majoring in health and medicine.

Hey! Can I just ask, what do you do about vitamin B-12? Are there any plants that produce this vitamin? I have been doing some research on the vegetarian/vegan diet and I accidentally stumbled up on a site by this paleo pusher guy (who seemed to really hate veggies) saying all vegans are ill because they don't get B-12. He also said all vegans are skinny fat I. e. They appear skinny but actually have high body fat, have you had your body fat measured? (I don't wanna sound rude. you don't look fat at all) Tbh I'm not that bothered about my health I care more about the animals/the earth, but I obviously do want to be as healthy as possible. Thanks: ) sorry it's so long.

I honestly hate the image that Freelee gives woman. She's calling herself fat when she is obviously not, and what does that do for girls who are their average weight? She's giving her viewers, the people who watch and really take in what she says, bad body images about themselves by calling herself fat when she is literally a twig. If she's fat, then that makes me obese according to her.

It's been a few days since i started with raw till 4 and i'm feeling like crap, my insulin levels are insanely high and it makes me feel irritable, anxious and shaky most of the time. I would really like to continue eating this way though. Is it normal and does it go down with time? It would be awesome to get some advice

I was a hard core coffee addict! what worked for me was in between my morning and late morning smoothie and water if I feel I needed an extra jolt, I would chug back some oj. yes i know being carbed up to start with is ideal, but for some of us its going through the motion helps until we get it under control. :)

Speaking of cravings. when you're pregnant i don't think you can control your liking or cravings. it does happen to me because during my first trimester i cant even stand the smell of banana but im into mangoes. and sadly bad crabs - BREADS. :( any one there experience the same or something similar.

I think a huge part of not having cravings anymore (in addition to getting enough carbs) is eliminating processed foods and PROCESSED SUGAR! From experience, it was though in the beginning, but once you are off the processed stuff, those cravings disappear: )

Would this lifestyle help with tobacco addiction? I know caffeine addiction was mentioned, but my mom has been smoking for about 20 years on and off and she has been looking into this lifestyle as well. Maybe this would help push her over to RT4!
