Here is a thing for people to chew on who think she is a hypocrite. Vegans go on about meat eaters being hypocrites and how they speak out against live slaughter when they eat meat. However, I hear a lot of vegans go on about the same and factory farming, however, at the same time if you mention more humane methods of farming and farmers that don't practice that way, that doesn't involve animals being transported miles, stuck in small cages, being free to roam etc, then they will just say Well, they are still going to die. Well, if that is the case then why mention factory farming at all since you are going to oppose the alternative. It kind of reminds me of pro lifers who go on about late term abortions and when you point out that many abortions are carried out early on will then say it is wrong regardless. If it is wrong regardless then it is wrong across the board, so why the need to point out the extreme case and chastise others for being against the more extreme harsh methods and wanting to minimise suffering

Freelee: Fish are sentiant beings as well! You're also ruining the oceans!
Vegaterrian: I only eat dairy products and eggs! I love animals!
Freelee: The dairy industry is just as bad as the meat industry!
Unhealthy Vegan: I don't eat animal products! I love animals!
Freelee: Stop eating so much Vegan junkfood! You need to exercise every day! Don't go to an office, computer job! Don't enjoy eating tasty food! Foodshame everyone! AND EAT AT LEAST 30 BANANAS A DAY!

You can be against animal cruelty and still eat meat. I love animals and I HATE to see cruelty be done to them, I really do. I see why a lot of you see that as hypocrisy, though. BUT I eat meat so that I can survive. Most of the animals in the Animal Kingdom do the exact same thing. They prey on and eat other animals just to survive. I support vegans, I support what they do, but I don't like it when some vegans try to make someone else turn into a vegan and shove their beliefs down someone's throat. You can't force someone to change. Gofreeyourself is not doing that in this video, I know, but some vegans do that. I'm not here to argue and I hope that I didn't offend anyone, but that's just my opinion. I hope that everyone's having a great day/night! .

I mean, I get the point of why everyone would be saying this is contradictory. But just because this is their diet, doesn't necessarily mean that they're hypocritical. One of my friends is an animal rights activist, but she still eats meat. It is contradictory but she is still aware. From her standpoint, her eating meat is her diet and therefore is necessary. Whereas testing products on animals is unnecessary. It's just how she thinks. It's better than ignoring the problem altogether in my opinion.

I am fourteen years old and I come from Brazil, my family mostly eats traditional Brazilian food, and they are mostly all made from meat. I really want to become vegan so I can help with this awsome movement, however my parents are refusing to start a healthier lifestyle. I am not sure what I should do, can you ( or anyone in the comments) help with my situation?

I'm a vegetarian I would love to be vegan but I was barely allowed to be vegetarian my dad would think I'm crazy. But as soon as I turn 18 and able to get a job I will. But I'm trying to eat less of animal products as I can. I'm going to get almond milk and stray from cheese and eggs but it's contained it a lot of things my family buys.

Well we as vegans already know that we are just asking questions to help people reflect on their beliefs so they may see things from a new perspective. People are going to go vegan slowly when they realize it for themselves and that is better than not at all.

Why the disconnection? I can totally understand if you don't know, but if you know and continue its like. WHAT!
This shit makes me feel frustrated. I would give ANYTHING to make the entire world go vegan overnight. I would even chop my fingers one by one. just for the animals.

Well, this demonstration proves that meat eaters do care. I don't see an issue with it. You may eat meat but still want to see animals being treated well before and live export is cruel, animals being transported for hours without food or water.

Yeah, but how many vegans would kill a snake, a moth or some other animal that either scares them or causes discomfort. Factory farming is Grotesk but if there was a spider on the bottom of that bananaI bet her attitude would change real fast.
