I wanna go vegan but I don't think my parents really want me too, they don't believe I would actually do it cause I used to love meat but now, eh I do t give a shit about steak or ribs anymore. And when I say i do t really care for them as much now my aunt says oh says the one who used to get joker face eating ribs and yeah I used to but that's before I really k ew how much torture animals go through and for what? Food you can live without. Cows being impregnated over and over and having their offspring taken away almost immediately until they can't anymore and collapse and are killed for meat? Baby male cows throats slit for veil and female cows going into the milk industry of torture just like their mother and just for humans to drink milk and eat cheese? TBH the only thing I would miss is fish cause I love sushi really but I can live without it, I can make sushi with tofu with some good seasoning maybe find a vegan tempura recipe if possible, but idk off I'll be able to switch before I somehow move out or am and adult and can do it wether they want me to or not.

The only thing I disagree with in this video is at 5: 00 she says the perfect reality will have FREE fruit available for anyone to just pick off a tree and eat. Yeah It's a great pie-in-the-sky idea right along side peace and harmony on the planet, but understand it's just that: wishful thinking. Realistically, the only places you can be merrily skipping along and just grab fresh fruit off a tree when you're hungry is in small towns and villages with few people and lots of plants and trees all around. There's just no way this can possibly work in a population-dense concrete jungle like NYC or LA with literally millions of people who all want free fresh fruit.

You have beautiful skin due to your discipline over what you put in your mouth. Congratulations!
I was a Vegan for 10 years but as I got older my body was simply not able to derive enough protein from non-meat sources. So we gave up and we are just vegetarians now except that I also eat fish twice a week. When I started eating fish/dairy again I felt better immediately, started to get more muscle, and my hair, skin, and nails got better. The only meat I eat is fish but I had to do it. I do worry about the Fukushima radiation but I am stuck and I refuse to eat red/white meat.

vegan will NEVER be The Normal mainstream. you're a dreamer BUT if you like being a vegan that's great, not everyone thrives on apples n oranges. You have created a lifestyle that works for you & many others could definitely benefit from, but eating meat has been around since the stone age & will continue to be mainstream til doomsday. sorry to break this awful news to you

I don't believe in meat substitutes, but it is true that soy meat should cost less than real meat. It actually does cost less, when its falsely marketed as meat. Fast food tacos and school cafeteria burgers are typically made of government subsidized soy. When the marketing is honest, like with boca burgers, all of a sudden a premium is tacked on.

Im going 100% vegan today because of you free lee
I care about animals & guess what im not ashamed. Some people use their knowledge about you against you & will eat chicken wings right in front of you just because your a vegan. But i will close my eyes & go about my life and feel great about it.

Im not get a vegan but my diet is plant based ( I mean I havent changed my clothes and makeup and things like that, I have only changed my diet) How do I answer the question of why I do it without sounding contradictory or hypocritical as Im not a full vegan?

I just went vegan two days ago! I have been vegan before for this thing we did. About 3 times now for 21 days. But I didn't really know what veganism was until after research. But I decided to do it for life! It took me a year to slowly take things away

I am at my jumping off point. Thank you for the push. What I have experienced from vegetarian eating so far has been encouraging and shattered my expectations. The vegan lifestyle will be the eventual next step. But I am learning to crawl before I walk.
