Unbelievable YURT In The Forest - Ep. 24 Ryan: Religiously watch your vlogs every night. I may have a problem. lol havent had a single negative until now. That was the most dangerous chain saw and tree felling I've seen. I know you got alot better later in your journey. But even the most seasoned faller can die from a simple mistake. Also when teaching nicole how to use the chainsaw. Please get her to wear chaps. And keep your head on the opposite side of the bar so if it kicks back and the chain break fails it's not going to slice threw your head/neck.
Love you Jake and nicole your both so so inspirational.

I've watched all of your videos, say like a tv series -.
Well Nicole is lovely hardworking and beautiful Lady, that is not so common! --, jake is cool - and soft spoken but the best of him is actualizing martial arts discipline, I'm watching jake, do the tough work and do the even tougher; cook. '
Love is abundant in you guys, keep it tight, its basically what I would love to see in your everyday activities, kind of lets love prevail.
Nicole, that time you prepare chapati, damn its --, and keep dancing -, you nail it.
Jake don't you think you need to film showering outdoor--i bet youwill hit a thousand dislikes---. or thebait thing hahaaa.
I enjoy your everyday rendezvous, well both of you -but Nicole, way sweet.
guys---. peace out

Just started watchin your videos a few days ago. Glad to see youre not gettin so many bad comments, but still, quit with the thumbnails with a half naked girl. At this point youre showin up that anime chick bell or whatever tf her name is that got famous for that $#1+ and started a pornhub account based on clickbait. If thats what youre into then good for you and start sellin dirty bath water. If not then do what you actualy do best and homestead. But seriously man, get a sharp saw and do some work. On the same note do you guys know anything about sharpening knives? I get im probly behind the times on the comments, but dont get me wrong, i fully support and enjoy your videos.

that sharpening machine is the biggest waste of money ever. just a plain round file approx. 30-35 degree angle. your chain is sooooooooooo dull. i grew up with saws. buy yourself a new chain and see the difference a shrp chain makes. you really shouldn't have to rock the saw for it to cut. or you could buy yourself a Jonsered and get a real saw
other then that absolutely love your videos.
started watching them, now ive gone back to the beginning of you guys coming to Canada
you guys are definitely living my dream
have you guys thought about doing any gold panning

I spent many years logging with my friend's hardwood business back in the day and I cringed at some of your chainsaw habits/technique. Please, for the sake of Nicole and the beautiful life you are building, adopt safer form and wear the right gear. I'm not some keyboard warrior looking to put you on blast just to be negative. I'm genuinely concerned for your safety. None of us want to see the -Our trip to the emergency room- video. Peace to you both.

Since you guys are growing your own food I just discovered something created by 2 Australians. Look up Flow Hive. If you like honey its a bee hive that makes it easy to collect the honey but the nice thing about it is you dont stress out the bees collecting the honey. If you dont prefer the honey Im sure you can sell jars of it.

Watching the raindrops fall off of the narrow plywood strip at the bottom edge of your Yurt makes me wonder if it's treated with something so it won't rot? It would have great is the side skirt covered that area. Maybe a strip of aluminum flashing would be a good way to cover and protect the exposed plywood?

I-ve been enjoying your journey, setting out on a similar one soon myself. how do you sustain your lifestyle? I understand you both sold most of your belongings and traveled before deciding to build your yurt but how do you make it happen over the long term? Are you both working? Peace and love!

Bro. the saw man lol. Avoid the sawing motion while using the saw. Let the machine do the work, also buy a couple of chains and learn how to sharpen. I'm not talking down on you or anything (I had the same problem lol) my neighbor saved me about 12hrs of work and a possible injury. Love the vids!

Have you guys found any nettles on the property? We made some nettle pesto pasta on Orcas Island last weekend seasoned with smoked sea salt and it was incredible. deep dark green and super tasty. Normally it-s very expensive to buy in stores but luckily it grows wild in the PNW.
