If 240 watts will do the job build for 500 and the same in storage dubble it all if you are running a heater as they are huge energy hogs. Build enough so that if you loose half of your capacity you still have power to spare. I have been doing radio, electronics, broadcasting and electrical for all my life so this is advice derived from first hand experience. Also I wonder what you have for HF radio coms on board. You may also consider obtaining your Amateure radio license as that will greatly increase your communications options a huge plus on long voyages. You will also meet cool people you may not have otherwise come to know. I really enjoy your shoe thanks.

I've introduced your vlog just on the introduction. This vlog as most are beautiful, educational loving and earthy. Im 62 and thrived on gardening and adventures when I was younger. The gardens look so healthy! Fox is growing up so fast. Yes to the stern anchor, you will be pleased, one of the videos i follow, the owner always dives down after setting any anchor and making sure its secure on bottom, and not dragging. I loved the closeup slow mo shots of the butterfly and bumble bee in the garden. Fox has the best life ever! Years ago living in northern ontario canada, the children would play outside with pantyhose over their heads and ears to stop the black flies from biting! I kid you not

FYI: I tried to teach my oldest daughter Danish (my first lingo) when about the same age as Fox is now - by means of daily repetitive phrases and regular reading her Danish illustrated books. She never caught onto it after two years of daily efforts at it. I speculate that she never caught on because the all day lingo between me and my wife was in English, and same when she was among family members. But good for you to keep trying in Japanese with Fox.

I wonder with that blue yetti, one could plug in to its 110v outlet a efficient 12 volt battery charger to another blue yetti with auxiliary batteries that is also being recharged by the sun could create a cycle to let the heater run all day and night?

Why not run a stern line to shore instead of using a stern anchor for Appa? Half-inch (12mm) yellow poly would work well for up to about 75m from shore. It s best to use twice that much line and loop it around a tree on shore.

About the boat you should also have one more chain thats a little bigger anchor out from the port side that will compensate should either of the other two drag or give way, I must say your living the dream style for sure.
