Off grid w/ jake & nicolle live now from the forest Philip: Live in Scottsdale. have a keen appreciation for what you and your family are achieving. challenge in our region are the political hold outs who think that the American Way is to continue exploiting & plundering our planet. Grew up in the UK in a multi-generational household. Learned a ton of how tos from that experience. We have kids (3. More than my parents. We have an enormous problem with over population and the rate of consumption of resources. We only have the one planet but we use resources that only 3 to 5 planets like ours can support. Noam Chomsky. Cool intellect for sure. good comments by you. Robert Reich too!

In 1981, for environmental and political reasons, I decided not to have children of my own. I was 21 and I haven't regretted it to this day. I worry enough about humanity and nature that I couldn't bear exposing my descendants to the soon to be 9 or 10 billion people on earth and the consequences of that.
I assume you know the Georgia Guidestones. Alongside all these conspiracy theories and religious aberrations, there are some really smart ideas. But you have to start with yourself and not wait for others to reduce their population and stop making war.
Georgia Guidestones, destroyed by unknown idiots in 2022:
1. Maintain humanity under 500, 000, 000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule Passion Faith Tradition and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth beauty love seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth Leave room for nature Leave room for nature.

No children, there were 8 in my family and the highest number of kids from my siblings is 3. Have you heard of Noam Chomsky! We all haven't been living g under a bush! Lol. Good luck in getting that interview. I met a professor who worked with him and he said the man doesn't stop for lunch. Recurring billing I try so hard to keep away from that, but it's harder all the time. The tax man wants me to start paying them monthly now best of luck love a lot of your podcast videos. Home work is all the stuff I have to do after I work and it is inescapable and I still hate it!

Great point Jake! Last February I stopped all the subscriptions that gave me no benefits. Today there are too many people and places that ask for a monthly donation to keep THEM afloat. What happened to charity starts at home? People that can't afford to put a college fund together for their own children give 10 dollars a month or 19. 99 to another. I would rather take that monthly subscription and put it away for my grandchildren!

Hi, I'm from Queensland Australia. Have 4 kids. I agree population collapse. Sperm counts are plummeting. There's a big lack of alpha males now. Very few are healthy and strong, work out etc. It'll be interesting in 20 years time to see my kids hopefully find a mate and have babies. I'm not entirely sure this will even be possible by then. The world is not great right now, and hasn't been for a long time.

Hi Jake. I enjoy watching your show. I admire what you are doing. Most of what you do is that of a young person. You and Nicolle are young and healthy. That makes a big difference. I'm older and not able to do the things you do. I don't have the strength or health to do it. Keep doing what you do. Teach other people to do what you are doing. The world will be a better place.

We have all done something on and off grid. I sertenly have. I'm not one of the lucky ones. I got illness for my old age. Diabetes and ulcerus legs. There seems to be cuewer for it. I can't walk so far or go anywhere. I have 3 brother's and 3 sister and all of their offspring. And for all I have done for them, they won't take me anywhere. I'm very much gounded these days.

I love your posts they are beautiful. You give a lot so don t worry about those that give thru currency it s not a bleed it s a gift most times. I live in a dry yurt also but it s a lifestyle choice. Self sufficiency is how to live regardless of cashflow. Self sufficiency brings us close to the earth. Thank you for sharing your path.

Hi Jake, hello from the big Island of Hawaii. We have been living off grid here for years and love it. Not an easy life but well worth it. We grow about 40% of our own food. Been watching your videos for years. It s been fun watching you guys grow up and start a family. I have learned a few things from you both. Life is good. Aloha!

Bro you should research more about teslas and solar power. It is not so green as they say. The lithium mines are just as dirty and dangerous as the coal mines and what will happen in 5 years when million of solar panels gets thrown to the garbage; ) they will have to bury them with the rest of the garbage which is not green at all: )

This is the typical rightwing affluent shit, covering their tax escape with environmentally PC.
Yes if you have money and can build your own house with off-grid infrastructure, can do this shit and just go back to society you don't want to pay for, to use hospitals and your other needs.

So much BS, now you attempt to grift your audience, and do your skinflic shows, all for the cash, one day you will be held accountable, remember we all leave a legacy, yours and Nicole's isnt looking that good, even trashed your X to get this, real sad.

Always wondered what the appeal is to pay all those charges. We have free water in New Zealand. Max car loans are 60 months I think. Biggest costs now is food and rent and power. Funny how geothermal and wind and hydro could be so expensive.
