Ireland wanted to forget, but the dead don't always stay buried. One woman made it her mission to unearth the truth. Valrie: I am an illegitimate child and I am fortunate to live in this era and in a country where kids like me can live to our full potential. Although the legal system is not fair to illegitimate children as the portion of inheritance is only 50% of what the legitimate kid can get. Indeed, why are mothers and children punished when the men go off freely?

This happened in England as well, children were given to childless or willing couples. Lemn Sissay went through this. His foster parents rejected him because he became naughty at age 12 and also he was black, so they were sure he was demon spawn.

Let not the actions of catholic members define your love for God, as individuals lets choose to believe and have faith in our father because the devil will forever provoke, but god will forever hold our hands, lets get up and be the change

There was a Catholic hospital in my home town. I was born in 1950. My parents told me about the basement of that place having nuns taking care of babies and adopting them out away from their parents. The place closed around 1968

Our town called Cromwell, in New Zealand. There was a story that the naughty nuns were sent up here. The offspring were actually disposed of. Not much of a guess as to who the fathers were.

Ironic that religion are pro life, yet have the nastiest history when it comes to child abuse, is being pro life a compensation for something lacking, like empathy for kids?
