Order, structure and manners get momentarily derailed in one comic moment from the Downton Abbey movie. The king and queen are paying a visit to the estate, and the Downton staff are eager to serve them. The only wrinkle is that the royals are arriving with their own domestic help, so they wont get the benefit of Mrs. Patmores cooking. The Downton servants beg to differ. They devise a plan to take back their rightful places by sidelining the royal staff. In this scene, one Downton servant, Molesley (Kevin Doyle, speaks up to let the king know that the evening's meal is indeed the work of Mrs. Patmore after all. The moment quickly becomes quiet and awkward. Narrating the sequence, the director Michael Engler explains the steps he took to create the maximum comic effect. I went this past Monday & the whole theater was cracking up & it increased when he did the bow/curtsey, some thought he was passing gas as he went lower & lower into his curtsey. I wish I had been able to have seen the whole series. I have been binge watching all the clips & that's when I watched the advertisement for the movie. I took to locating the nearest theater that was playing it & I wish it could have been longer!
The actors did an awesome job. My favourite is Maggie Smith! She had so many wonderfully scripted quick witted responses & her delivery was impeccable!
If you haven't seen this movie, do so before it's out of the theater's. It has everything you'd expect a good movie to have and you will be drawn into it as though you were there in person!

This was the most magnificent scene in the movie everyone in the theater that I was with we all absolutely felt his pain and embarrassment but when he curtsied instead of bowed that was it we were all done in. It was so wonderful and that actor was so excellent everyone was wonderful the movie was wonderful I saw it five days ago and Im still on a high from it

All I could think here was Poor Molesley! Of course we who know this show love him but oh my! He wanted to serve their majesties and then he makes a mess of things and on top of that curtseys! It's funny but it makes you wince at the same time!

Molesley stole the movie with this brilliant acting - even from the
Dowager herself! Our whole audience was in shock (as in we all felt for
poor old Molesley) and then the laughter filled the room! Well done
Kevin Doyle!

Great acting by Kevin Doyle! Utterly cringe worthy but hilarious! The whole cinema were roaring with laughter and watching from between their fingers as we covered our eyes with embarrassment for poor Mosley

Today, the New York Times has propagated false propaganda against India, this newspaper gets funds to run false news, what does New York know about India, it has run Pakistan's agenda,

The silence along with the camera slowly closing in on Molesley as he realizes what he'd done is priceless. Poor dude. The dinner scenes are always a favorite.

Their has to be humor in a movie with a man acting like a woman. It's part of the trans agenda. Not saying it wasn't funny, just saying why it was there

The whole premise of Anna Bates hatching the plot to replace the Kings staff was absurd. It's like they didn't remember who she was in the series.

This scene ruined the movie for me. It was pure cringe. I've always hated Moseleys character and this definitely reinforced that hatred.
