At 16 YEARS OLD Thomas was approaching 400lbs and was so repulsed by his appearance he wouldn-t even look at his reflection in the mirror. Everything changed when the 20-year old saw a nutritionist who taught him how to eat well. He has started a healthy diet and working out which resulted in losing 160lbs in two years. Since then Thomas, who resides in California, gained confidence he lacked before and despite admitting that he is still on his journey to self-love, Thomas says that he can finally look at his reflection and be proud of what he has achieved so far. After being that big for that long, it's still really hard to realise that you are slimmer than you think you are. For a long time I still thought I needed big clothes and was always amazed at the size clothes I was able to wear. It's true what they say. Slim tastes a helluva lot better than that next piece of cake or chocolate or hamburger though, having said that, you should never deprive yourself of small amounts of what you crave in moderation so as to stop yourself from bingeing when you don't get what you crave.

Obesity is an illness that will always leave a scar on the body after the cure like any other illness. The skin will never truly recover to its natural state, and most importantly the childhood/teenage years won't be experienced. It is just a big toll physically and mentally. The key solution here is prevention, and this is every parents/caregiver's responsibility to prevent it from escalating in the first place. Please as a parent even if you are obese do not let you children experience it!

Your story inspires me as a kid I always thought I was too skinny now I-m to over weight. I always struggled with my self image it-s a process. I used to take care of myself but after my mom and dad died a yr apart from each other 4 yrs ago I really stopped caring about like and what I look like so I let myself go but I keep trying to stay focused and atleast walk when I can. Congrates on the success.

Hi Thomas, hope you doing well. you really look great and I hope all just fall into place. I am overweight currently and just not in a happy place, what keeps you motivated cause allot of people lose motivation so just some advice please take care

Bigger people tend to have better personality-s because they aren-t as confidence. Some of the nicest and most kind people I know are overweight. When you lose weight and you gain confidence, they mix together and help mold your character.

Very sweet, humble and handsome guy! His efforts definitively paid off. He looked so sad before, in this video he's still a little in thoughts, I hope that he enjoys life more than ever now. Good job Thomas!

So many shallow comments about how attractive he is. The point is that he struggle with his father death and he hit rock bottom. It's very admirable to see what he has accomplish physically and emotionally.

Started on October 14, 2020, was 196 lbs. Currently, I am 186lbs with 5'6. I am on the borderline of obese and overweight. I need to be down to 150 lbs to be fit. Still a way to go. Wish me, luck guys. -

If you feel like any extra calories you eat go straight to your belly or thighs, you're not imagining things. Those are usually the areas where you store fat because of your genes, hormones, age, lifestyle
