I'm tattooing my entire body black - hooked on the look

TATTOO artist Michela Bottin-Ackerman is 95% covered in tattoos - and about 75% of her body is coated in black ink. Besides that, she also has several body modifications such as a split tongue, pointed ears and tattooed eyeballs. The 32-year-old currently resides in New York, but is originally from a small town in Italy, where she got her first tattoo as a teenager. Michela started out with very colourful tattoos, which is what she now specialises in as a successful tattooist. But slowly Michela-s cartoon and animal inspired body art made place for big patches of black ink. She told Truly: -I started to black out my body as a last resort for a cover up, and it felt good, I actually liked it, I planned another session for the arms and since then I have gotten more and more. - Having her skin blackened out has given Michela a lot of confidence, she explains that her addiction to this type of tattoo is because she felt uncomfortable being addressed as the -pretty girl- - wanting to erase the superficiality. I'm curious about the total amount of money she has dropped on every one of her tattoo's. I have zero tat's, different generation but my son has accumulated quite a few and it has been a couple of hundred a pop. I have voiced to him nothing on the face please and maybe staying with all dark ink as I think it looks more uniformed. He is in the military and is his own man so he will do what he is going to do but I'm just being a helicopter parent on this issue. JMHO There is a lady at my gym who is completely tatted out from neck to toe as far as I can see and it is all in color, it just reminds me of a cartoon character

I have such a hard time with the extreme body modification, since we know that at least some of these individuals later go through expensive, agonizing laser treatment to remove the very tattoos that they put on their body. My only suggestion for anyone going to EXTREMES in any behavior is to at least consider consulting with a mental health specialist (i. e. therapy) about your reasons, your emotional issues (no question depression can be a triggering issue) before beginning potentially permanent body changes.

There must be an addictive aspect to getting tattoos, why some people can-t stop, they tattoo over tattoo, and keep going until their skin is destroyed. That ink is unhealthy and causes damage. Personally, I will never understand any form of self-destructiveness and self-harm, as life is damaging enough without us helping it along. She seems like a really sweet person though, I hope she finds peace, because some people have died from too much ink, it poisoned them.

Sad, she took a beautiful version of herself and turned herself into a freak. Because she was -too beautiful- and people were -too interested- sad. She was a beautiful girl, and I'm sure she was just as awesome inside as she was outside, but she had to turn herself into a freak. Can't wait to see what she looks like at 50 and 60 years old. She's going to scare her children and grandchildren if she ever has any.

So what she is saying is, bcs she did not know how to manage the attention she was receiving bcs of her-god- given gift, she decided to wreck her health(the skin as an organ, the biggest organ of the body. Well, mission accomplished. And while I personally find her beautiful and the tattoos are cool, it is still a type of selfabuse.

Earased that beauty? You're so foolish. But for now you look more beautiful/Gorgeous with this/like this, stop saying that earasing beauty you're sooo mad, and hope you didn't tattooed more on your face again, bec that's sooooo enough tattoos in the face the other parts of the body are ok but for the face that's just enough lol

It-s admirable to give up the privilege of conventional beauty. Conventional beauty is a gift and a curse, people really don-t see past it easily and it also allows for manipulation to get what you want and or need. I respect that idea and her choice to challenge what beauty is

I don't understand covering existing tattoos in black (unless she really hated them, and I would rather be covered in art pieces rather than a solid color. but hey, if it makes you happy. I hope you feel like you get real honest human connection now.

Your reasoning is flawed. You say you want to erase beauty to be accepted for who you are, but all you have done is attracted people who think this look is beautiful. So really you haven-t achieved any goal at all if that is the case.
reply

Isn't It interesting? Some people will go over and beyond just to be naturally beautiful while others have it for free and wanted to erase it. Full acceptance is key. She's gorgeous! /

I honestly thought is was to ask try the frown to try the frown. Where is this an hh what it sounds like when said you? It really does stretch great. . great. lengths. I don't know why.

I definitely want to get tattooed by her one day. Her tattoos are not my style but I love what she stands for and her story for why she wanted black outs. Love from Australia
reply

Idk why but I feel like we are missing a big part of her story. She seems kinda sad. I think her hubby knows-. It just seems like she is trying to erase something.
reply

I really love her personality and especially how she looks. And I think that they have a really healthy relationship. And the little doggo is more than precious
reply

Before her beauty was happy and inviting like the sun and now her beauty is mysterious and cool like the night. She did very well changing her entire appearance.

A full body covered in cries for help. No extremes come from balance, happiness, mental stability nor healthy self-reflection. -erase the beauty- - yikes.
reply

I totally get that. I'm addicted to tattoos and strive to be more covered every day. It actually bothers me that I'm only about 15 percent covered
reply

Yes usually I like to listen what people are saying more than how they look. So a weird look is not necessary for being interesting
reply

There is something very strange when grown man or women give so much atantion to their looks. It s to egocentric to call it positive
reply

Case in point: You cannot erase beauty. Any attempt makes you more beautiful -- in a way. And this -way- is what it comes down to.
reply

What is up with the scribbles on her face/neck/chest? I've seen a few people with that and I don't understand what it's supposed to be

She wants to tattoo her whole body black and then tattoo more black over the black? No there-s nothing wrong with her.

It worked. You def committed to the shock. Hope the outside stuff does the inside right! Def found yer own lane
