I disagree with this even though I probably agree with them politically. I feel that humans have constructed a world our brains were never designed for but I also believe that socialization, art and culture are important facets of life. Life is about discovery though experience and actual physical exposure to the world and the people within. Not just exposure to the world through a computer screen and textbook as displayed. Children need to interface with strangeness from time to time. I don't mean drag queen story hour, I mean different places and flavours of people.
The dad expressed not wanting his children to get up to the same messes he did but he seems to have forgotten that teenagers have a natural proclivity for risk-taking and it's through making mistakes and bad decisions they discover the means to be better people.
These children seem highly incubated and incredibly lacking in the same passion as the parents. A very unsettling family.

Sad that you have to justify a way of life thats much more closer to the way people have lived for 1, 000s of year. And to reject that, that would not be -normal- Look today fake money, a fake world, fake wars, fake reality, fake food genetic engineering, fake medecine big pharma etc etc. The book of Revelation says to 'come out from among them and be ye separate touch not the unlcean thing and i will Be your God and you will be my people'. Its sad that you have to justify escaping this worlds system thats only seek to control and destroy people. Look at all the surveillance The constant attack on our freedom. The attack against Faith God Christianity The lies deception propaganda. Thats not normal because its contrary to what God said. And besides your Freedom keeps you safe. Nature is more peaceful than the big city thats for sure.

Coming with some experience in this conversation I would say I grew up on a ranch, we grow all our own food, canned as well as butchered our own and hunt for our meat as well. I did go to school but not before 3 hours of chores in the morning and home to do more chores at night. I had a bit of both worlds. I ultimately went to college became a PhD worked -conventional- jobs I suppose. I chose to raise our kids with both as well. I think there is something missing in the country and that is with all the options. We have far to many extreme lefties and just as many extreme right wingers all teaching our kids to be brainwashed into w/e thinking their parents are into. Give your children experiences, education, different viewpoints and let them decide who they want to be as adults.

You trust them to send you all the things you want though! You are trying to brainwash your viewers. I used to love watching your vlog. I learnt so much about gardening but now less emphasis on that, plus gifting, sponsoring, receiving because you have become massive consumers! YOu receive more gifts than the average family! That money should go to extending your house and concentrating on the extra space that your family needs as your children grow into young adults and need their own space and privacy. and the latest video, electric bikes? Whatever next? Take a step into the real world, what if we all relied on wish lists from Amazon, -kind- people to give us what we want. even the family with a modest income doesn't beg, they have pride and values.

It's not necessarily all ppl r bad, but i admit there r lots of ppl that r bad, and yeah, society this days kinda messed up, common sense become weird and ppl r living without consent and proper boundaries, everything became blurry this days, what's right what's wrong, everything is being questioned this days, more and more depression, trickery, and many many more. Human cannot libe without any rules od boundaries, nor with too much rules and boundaries, idk but ppl this days forget that with rules and boundaries we get protected, it created a safe space to live, imagine a world without any boundaries, common sense can be whatever, it's just not right. To be honest. Any negative message towards this family is just not right. No one can judge this family on what they want to do. Each of us has a family and we all want what is best for our own families and no matter what anyone tells us we still do what is right even if it seems wrong to others because it is up to us to live life however we want to just like he is letting his children decide what they want to do without forcing. When our parents decided on having us, we had to abide by their rules and when we grew up, we did whatever we wanted to, this family is the same. Don't hate on families for raising their families like your family raise you with their own decisions and no one else.

I would rather have them as neighbors any day than the parasitic, unhappy rabble I left behind in urban Ohio. I love Ohio, but I hate the way our society is going. I sold my house in one day. I bought an unzoned, old commercial property sight-unseen in Western Nebraska and I haven't looked back since. Most of the farmers raise their kids in a similar fashion: all polite, well-educated (mostly home-schooled) and as capable of driving a $500, 000 combine at the age of ten as playing a good game of baseball. There re a lot of weirdos out there doing this; this family is clearly not part of that group.

I have 2 questions for all the haters that are against this family: 1. When you raised your family, did you listen and did what other people told you about what was best for your family, or did you do what you thought was best for your family despite what anyone else told you or thought? 2. Why does this family have to listen to what you or other people say on how they are supposed to raise their family if you raise your family your own way? You have NO right to judge or hate on this family when you yourself raised your family however you wanted to. Don't be a hypocrite and learn from others.

Poor kids. they have absolutely no future. If they want to join the real world and get regular jobs they will not have the skill set or social abilities they need to be successful. The parents sealed there fate by limiting there knowledge and experiences. It's a parents responsibility to give there kids the skills and prepare them to be successful in the real world. Unfortunately these kids are destined to live this life whether they want to or not because they won't know how to live any other way.

Sincerely, I entered with the expectation that I would be furious at the conclusion of this. However, it turns out that the parents are intelligent, and the children are not being deprived of information about events outside of their sphere of interest. They have access to the internet, so they are aware of these events. Finally, the parents have stated that their children have the freedom to do whatever they want, and if they choose to follow the conventional way, they won't stop them.

My mom didn't get any of her kids vaccines after a certain point and I'm the only one whose had 0 vaccines. This was in the 80s and 90s and she wasn't even a nut back then. I would never get a vaccine and I've always been fine. Kudos to these parents for doing what THEY feel is right. Just because something exists and is socially acceptable doesn't mean it's right.

I lived like this when I raised my children- but society got a grip on me again. Hopefully I-ve instilled it in my children, that are now teenagers. I-m begging to homeschool the last 2 years of high school- they refuse! All school does is test children. and it-s not right. I wish they would leave. But they are old enough to make their own decision.

With the way things are going in this country, we might do the same thing. I'm tired of the JUNK our kids are being FORCED to digest. And I know that life is hard. I'm no stranger to hard work. But there's something beautiful and peaceful about just living from the land, far AWAY from the FILTH of the world. I love the way you live.

I do wish I could go back in time and raise my children in this life. I was born in the country and loved that part of my life. I applaud their goal to protect their families. I just hope this is not fake in order to make money. I watched the Brown Family for years and then found out it was all fake and they actually lived in town.

When people say off the grid, THIS IS A MAN AND WOMAN DOING IT RIGHT. This is how a lot of people back in India live too. No matter how wealthy, they stay close to nature and eat food they grow. The air is much better there too.

I'd 1000% live like this, these parents are amazing and right about the school system we don't get taught life skills we will need in the future. Do I agree with their choices not to vaccinate? no. But I could see how they would be worried if their kids didn't react to them well. they're doing amazing.

I don't do Vaccination over time and studying I've done have led me to believe the gmo foods and Vaccination don't effect us right away it affects our offspring. With the rise in mental illness, such as the autism spectrum. Which 3 out of my 4 children have. I'm trying to do exactly the same.

I understand now why they aren-t getting the vaccinations they have a really good point and I support that. They actually physically can-t get the vaccine because they are allergic that happens to me a lot and the side effects of vaccines suck their life style is actually pretty smart
