I got pregnant at 15 - but we wouldn\'t change it - my extraordinary family Murdermagictricks: While I agree that the older woman shouldn't have been rude to her in person, I don't understand what alternative people want. Why would anyone be excited to see a pregnant child?
Statically most teen pregnancies are by older men and boys, who half the time abandon most of the responsibilities of parenting to the mother and her family.
That is not something to be celebrated or overlooked.
The thing that she should have been upset about was that this type of public Shame always falls solely on the girl and never the men or boys that get them into these situations.
No teen mother grows up wanting the same for her kids unless she herself was very well supported or insulated.
Everyone thinks it's sweet until they haven't sleep well in months and have no time to themselves.
I appreciate her honesty about being a teen parent. I wished the father would have spoke more about his experience since he is one of the very few fathers that stock around that I have seen in videos like this.
He's actually only the second I've seen.

This use to be the norm in Puerto Rico! May still be a real thing today of course with parental consent. No judgement here it happens more than we know. All you can do from here is be the best parents you can be. It-s hard and can be embarrassing but in the end it-s your responsibility now. The truth is you made the mistake and now a baby came from it. You live and learn and in this case you lived a bit too soon in this sense and now your learning from it as you continue to grow. You have wonderful parents that I am sure you had to guide you despite the mistake, but thankfully they continue to support and help you! Again you live and learn. You-ll do great and you seem super sweet and will be a great momma!

Parent always play the blame game. Where, what, how, did I go wrong. It was not your fault. There is no fool proof book to tell you how to raise a teenager. You provide the information and hope, fingers crossed the listen. WELL guess what hormones are also fighting against you. It resulted in a beautiful boy loved by all. That is a blessing. I was a throw away baby raised in the system. At 73Yrs old I still wonder who my family ar.

What a horrible thing for your Mom-s friend to say! A true friend would have opened her arms wide and given you and your Mom a big hug. She would have been there for your Mom as a good listener and encourager.
You and your husband were both were reared very well because you are both doing whatever it takes! I-m proud of you both for being great parents!

This girl seems to be a better parent than most moms in the small town I was raised in. Congratulations for taking responsibility and becoming a genuine mature adult at an accelerated rate. Your story causes me to think about where I need to take more responsibility. Your small family is definitely going to make it and I wish all the best to you three!

You are taking care of your responsibilities. There are people twice her age who have terminated multiple pregnancies because they don't want to take responsibility for their actions.
Your son is a gift and he seems to have a loving family, hardworking parents and he looks well fed and dressed.
Looks like you are doing a great job.

Hey Truely I like the positive feelings but I think stuff like this gives a skewed prospective. Many teen mothers are banished from their homes, must leave high school instead of graduating and live their lives in poverty. Why are you focusing so much on middle and upper class families when the majority of teen moms are from poorer families?
reply

The thing is the kids say they didn't think it would happen but they had s-- and knew the consequences of it. I mean she is really sweet and they look like good parents but the teens should know that having s-- would likely cause a pregnancy. I'm not hating on them. They seem to be responsible and know what they did was wrong.

Not sure if they realize it yet but they have a colossal advantage over most people.
They knew what they wanted & have it! Too many waste their entire lives not even knowing what they want. Too many others know but never find it.
OK perhaps it's tougher at this age, but it's sure worth it.

My friend got pregnant at 15 in 1980. Then, people's comments and attitudes were even worse. When she was in labor, a nurse said -Looks like your bikini days are over. - That nurse should have been fired. My friend's life wasn't anyone's business. Best wishes for this young family.

The support of your parents in your life decisions, makes complex situations easier. Also provide you the power to fight back with great wills. The words, -it's okay-, -everything will be alright-. Is the real word of love, courage, support and strength -

I hope that little boy's parents are proud of how much they have grown and matured through this experience and I hope all his grandparents are proud of their children. These two teenagers are so caring and responsible. They deserve respect and dignity.

If one of my -friends- had said that to my child I'd have reacted. How dare she. My son and his gf were pregnant age 16/17. 12+ years later they remain a couple and now have another child. I get the feeling that here in the UK we're more accepting.

In India it's a normal thing
Most of people who belongs to tribal and backward areas and little bit country side have children in teenage
There are lots of reasons for this
Low literacy rate and poverty and bit information

While it's good that the parents decided to own up for their mistake, the father is not a hero for sticking with the mother and their kid. Being present in the kid's life is the bare minimum, even if the parents are no longer together
reply

They finished highschool, are full time employees raising a kid and are also in college? C-mon like they-re basically doing everything soo well for their future and i-m sure they-re going to succeed in every aspect of their life-

The Most IMPORTANT RECONIZION you will receive. is when he's all grown up. And thanks you for raising him in nurturing surrounding
It doesn't matter what outsiders think. They didn't buy 1 pamper, They don't have one say so!

reply

Quite proud of them! Maturity needs more of challenges like theirs not just getting mature with age. Smart people always face more challenges and getting mature faster than others.
reply

Kudos on sticking together, sticking it out and doing the things!
Marriage is hard. Parenthood is hard. You got to be all in every day to make them good!

I got pregnant at 23 and I still got comments from people saying I was too young. I can't imagine at 15, but these two are champs. Congratulations: )

She seems more mature and dedicated than many, good for you and the best for your family girl -
It may have been irresponsible but you made the best of it

reply

I was 16 when I found out I was pregnant.
I got married at 16 my husband was 17.
We are now 29-30 and we are still happily married with 4 children.

reply

the mom is so proud of her daughter's accomplishments despite the hardship of bearing a child then raising him. i teared up that was so precious omg.
reply

You must be proud of yourself because as you grow older you get much more time together with your son. Why is it even so different?
reply

Don-t see anything wrong with it. As long as they have good supporting people, not forced into it and are not abusive
reply

Nah but this is beautiful, girls are supposed to have children at a younger age, 15 seems like a good place to start
reply

I judge their immature actions. But it's great to see them take responsibility and raise the kid together.
reply

Katherine you are doing an amazing job. So patient with your child and kind. Wishing you all the best!
