36-YEAR-OLD Chelsey Bishop from Tucson, Arizona lost an incredible 170lbs through a ketogenic way of eating. Weighing in at 340lbs at her heaviest, Chelsey was consuming between 4, 000 to 5, 000 calories a day. The excess weight was increasingly affecting Chelsey-s health, suffering from a high blood pressure and on the cusp of becoming diabetic. She told Truly: -Before my weight loss I was in denial about how much my weight affected my life, eating was my comfort and made me feel happier. - And her wake up call happened on a day out at a theme park, Chelsey explained: -I got on a rollercoaster, sat on the seat and the lap bar wouldn-t latch over my body. That was one of the most mortifying moments of my life. - Chelsey started researching dieting and came across a friend who had lost 100lbs through a ketogenic way of eating. Chelsey continued: -I thought if she can do it, I can do it, I started the keto diet and that changed everything. - Losing half of her body weight, Chelsey is the ultimate example of a successful Keto dieter. However, she approaches the diet very differently to most: -A lot of keto

We should have a health plan, for, pre-diabetics borderline diabetics & late stage diabetics. For example these people should be educated on the symptoms of diabetes, the damage it causes to the body such as blindness, kidney failure, edema, by-pass surgery, annurysim, heart attack & stroke. Because firstly prevention is better than cure, the country will save millions of dollars in kidney transplant, insulin & heart surgery. Afterall diabetes leads to all these diseases. Heart disease is the biggest killer in the world, followed by stroke. People need to wake up & smell the roses, because we eat to live & Not live to eat. This health plan should incorporate dietians, doctor's & exercise, before it's too late. Diabetes affects more than 450 million worldwide annually, & in the USA alone every 4 mins a person is added to the kidney transplant list. People must avoid stroke at all costs, because if you get a stroke an effort that used to take you 4%, after a stroke it will take you 70%. You can still enjoy your fast & fine foods & live a healthy & satisfied life.
Diabetes is reversible, even in the late stages, but the sooner you have a healthy diet & make it a habit, the longer your life expectancy will be. I wish I had studied the symptoms & damage diabetes causes & I would have taken drastic action 20 years ago. Just look up the symptoms of a stroke, because I don't want anyone to ho through a stroke.
--------. It's also the responsibility of diabetics obey their homework & comply with the health plan.

As a person whose been following a low carb lifestyle since 2008, fast food is not 100% pure evil. I was able to start losing weight in high school by having a burger with no bun and a salad with nothing but vinaigrette dressing from Wendy's for dinner when my mom picked me up from school. And I'd bring my lunch from home of course, no cafeteria food. The problem is most fast food restaurants use cheap inflammatory oils that are not healthy. I limit my intake of fast food to about once or twice a month because of this. I cook my own food in olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil. There are other anti-inflammatory oils but these are the most common I see in stores.

You rock, Chelsey! I was just like you last summer- I couldn't exercise, I was always out of breath, and was borderline diabetic. I am 45, so I knew I needed to do something drastic because our female metabolism slows WAY down in our 40's! I discovered keto in September, and try to keep my carbs under 20. I have gone from 217 to 141 lbs. I do eat out! It really isn't that hard to find keto food out (although at home I try to eat organic, grass fed meat, which you can't typically find out. But I like to cook - ha! The thing I love about keto is that I feel like I can keep doing it long term. Keep up the great work!

I eat under 1, 000 calories a day. Very very little carbs, no cheese, no sodas, no juices, no butter, no pasta, no junk food, very little meat, no pizza ect and still can-t loose weight! All I really mainly eat is fruits & vegetables. Today-s breakfast/ lunch was tuna with with tomatoes, snack half orange, & dinner was a salad consisting of lettuce, corn, & salsa no dressing. Late night snack was 4 blueberries & 3 raspberries lol.

Keto fast food isn-t healthy and may cause stomach bloating. Processed junk isn-t healthy. I make my own sandwich from healthy whole wheat organic bread and I cook my own meals with the best ingredients organic gluten free. My stomach is getting small like really fast. I don-t believe in cheat meals. I might have 1 cheat meal 1 in every 2 months.

Keto is definitely the way to go! It-s the ultimate cheat code for weight loss. You-ll be surprised of the fast results while eating foods you-re not allowed to have on other diets. Keep the carbs and sugars super low and you got it!

I had cancer as a kid and the medication I was on for years made me balloon so big. I was bullied hard and for 26 years I have yoyo diet my entire life. I'm 36 now and weigh 260 pounds. I am getting gastric bypass surgery in 4 months

Keto alone will not help loose weight, you still need to be at a calorie deficit, I know because I lost over 140 lbs but it takes many months or years to get back to a healthy weight without having stretched out extra skin.

Wow these Truly people are really getting the big bucks from the Keto people - almost every episode has this diet mentioned even though there are various eating habits and exercise routines that work for different people-

I lost 60 lbs the first 4 months of keto (dirty keto at that) and not even working out! 6 months in now I-ve lost over 80 lbs! It-s a miracle for women with PCOS as well. I-m stalling now though and it-s so upsetting.

Life style changes is key to weight loss with both mental and physical health improvements. Now having lost 50kg/ 100lbs in 5 months I am starting to feel a lot more like myself. Still on my journey and happy about it.

Ketohalfasser if anyone wants to follow her on IG. She does funny stories & reviews a lot of awesome foods & recipes. She also talks about how to ketofy your order at numerous restaurants.
reply

She looks great! But I wonder does that cause the acne scarring she has on her face? Also, just imagine if she would-ve hit the Gym as well! Not just the eating Keto part-.
reply

Losing weight is NOT 100% mentally! If anyone here is feeling guilty of not being successful, you need to here it. I studied lost weight (dietitian swiss school) --
reply

I feel like eating out doesn-t mean the same thing it used to. It doesn-t always mean eating fast food or junk. Most restaurants have healthier options
reply

It really is a mental game! I've been saying this. I'm down 60 pounds and going strong! Seeing results is SO addicting! I'm in love with it!
reply

I tried Keto. It was good for a bit but it's extremely expensive, inconvenient, and limited. Plus who wants to never eat pasta again!
reply

Good for her an love how she's made eating out healthy - for me the grocery shopping is to much an cooking I don't like it!
reply

It's not about losing weight, it's about all the harmful hydrogenated oils she consume daily on her -fast food- keto diet.
reply

Congrats but she didn't address exercise or looser skin. I hope it was because she didn't need or have those problems
reply

The key to eating boring food is for me is to work out for 2. 5 hours to justify the food I-m sacrificing.
reply

Weird how eating bad foods makes you feel good but then you feel bad being fat. I-m obese and know the struggles.
reply

People don-t lose weight because they only eat 20 grams of carbohydrates but because eating less calories
reply

It's all about finding what works for you. I personally don't have the self-control to eat out regularly lol
