TATTOOIST and model Cigno, from San Francisco has undergone a dramatic body and lifestyle change. After losing 50lbs in weight, she quit her corporate job with eBay in Germany and moved to the US to become a tattoo apprentice. Cigno started getting tattoos and extreme modifications to her body including extensive tattoos all over her head. Describing herself as an androgynous alien, Cigno has over 200 tattoos covering most of her body as well as silicone implants in her forehead and at the base of her throat. The tattoo model will go back to basics for the day, getting her tattoos and facial implants covered up. But what will her American friends make of seeing Cigno, who they-ve only known since she was tattooed, bare skinned?

I Like the tattoos. She looks nice with both looks. I can't say I understand half the comments, on these types of videos. People Preaching about someone's else's body. Sure we are all entitled to our own opinions. But there is a big difference, from being damm right hateful, to giving an opinion. Unfortunately these types of videos seem to bring, all the hate and spite, out in people. Which is very sad. People do themselves no favors, Preaching about religion. They give it a bad name. While claiming they all knowing, and using it to spew negativity. Tattoos are a form of self expression. They have been around, for thousands of year's. Hate them. Throw abuse at people with them. Tell people they are ugly with them. It will not change, the culture behind them. We have one life. It is our choice, and our choice alone, what we do with our bodies. So to anyone's who's worried about people's, perception of your tattoos or anything else. Don't worry about it. It's your life and it's over far to fast, to worry about society's, opinion of you.

Her tattoos are really well done. There-s nothing worse than covering your entire body with shitty artwork, so thankfully hers are really good. The one bad thing about covering your entire body with tattoos, in my personal opinion, is getting work done on your face. To me, tattoos are awesome and I love women with ink- but the face! I just don-t think it looks good. but that is just MY personal outlook. And I mean no disrespect. Just think that the face should remain a blank slate. The rest of the body is fair game lol but yea, she looked great before and after. Very beautiful girl

I realize she-s doing her mods and tattoos for herself as well as for her career. Good.
At the same time, she is living as public art.
I confess that I feel conflicted about a mish-mash of my own prejudices:
1. Love the tattoos
2. Just can-t get into implants.
3. Love her original (and distinctive) red hair. I wonder how much she liked it.
Mainly, I-m glad she is happy.

We officially can live life like a VR simulator, we can design our own aviators, something tells me that this will not be a popular skin, that others will emulate and turning off the power your computer you will stay in character, permanently. The furries are coming next.

You should absolutely give her a NEW makeover. That thing you put on her head called a wig destroyed the look completely. I vote for a do-over. And a little more glam on the make-up too; -)

They always choose ugly wigs. Why not keep her hair how it originally was? I think it would have suited her overall vibe better. She-s a beautiful woman. I dig her with the tattoos more.

she has this ethereal vibe with or without tattoos. her body mods are so cool. i love how classy she sounds and looks before and after the temporary transformation

I don-t know, she-s gorgeous to me. She looks like an extraterrestrial goddess. I-d like to look the same. She-s honestly walking art. Big ups to her and her confidence.

I think people need to understand the difference between disfiguring yourself with plastic surgery and having a genuine interest in expression through art.

You look beautiful both ways. Your an Artist and your body is your canvas. Glad you are expressing yourself and doing what you love; o)

In 20 years time these tattoos will look so dated and old fashioned. Like being stuck with your worst perm from the 1980's forever.

I always think of how it must be SUCH a relief to take off all the layers of makeup after the video has been shot: D

If you can hire a makeup person you can also hire some drag queen who will help with nice wigs. whats so hard about that
reply

What's up with the ugly snarly grey wig? And her foundation is terrible. Too cakey. She's prettier her way.

I-m just wondering what-s going on with her hair it-s so messy they could of done a better job with this
reply

You know what-s missing on her is a tattoo, not let her go back to her normal beautiful tattooed self
