AT the age of 15, Jay Walker went blind in a matter of hours. Now 18 years old, Jay-s condition is still a mystery to doctors who have not been able to give her a formal diagnosis. In 2017, Jay lost her sense of taste and smell after experiencing bizarre swelling symptoms in her face, then, in December 2018, Jay suffered swelling again. However, this time, the pressures in Jay-s eyes were immense. In just four hours, Jay went blind and was later told by doctors it was permanent. Jay-s life changed drastically and she is determined to keep moving forward. Now a college student, Jay-s future ambitions include writing a book about her experiences. Jay said: -I know how I want to feel and I know that I want to be happy and I know that I want to feel successful. And I want to feel like I've fulfilled something. And that I've made a difference in whether it be a million people or one. - More of Jay's adventures here: Director: Nathan Johnson

Don't mean to be tone deaf here but I'm very interested in whether or not TRULY is being completely honest with viewers or even asking their interviewed guests to lie.
1- In this episode mum and her explain her eye pressure was very high, this is called acute closed angle glaucoma. The REASON why it happened to her might not have been explained, sometimes it's idiopathic (no real reason) but almost by definition from what she said, about the eye pressure, that's what happens in this condition. The description says she has never received a diagnosis, but they're twisting the truth, she most likely got a diagnosis but not a reason why she got it.
2- In another video they show a man living in Kenya and he doesn't have a job and has a hand condition that basically doesn't allow him to do anything. I've contacted this person and regularly see his photos, not a single one shows him in the condition he was portrayed by TRULY and he does have a job, several actually. So.

i had a bad headache one day and nothing would take it away so i went to eye drs and they checked my pressures, and my pressures were 70! he sent me to Wills eye hospital in Philly and i had immediate open eye surgery to drain the liquid to lower the pressure. i would have went blind too it was so scary and the migrane was horrible! they even at one point put a tube in my eye to drain the fluid properly but they had to take it out i couldnt stand having it in my eyeball, im so sorry this happened to you, i get checked all the time by the dr. ive had 2 open eye surgeries in my right eye and 2 in my left. i respond to 3 eye drops i take 3 times each a day. we are strong and we will get through it girl. i wish you nothing but the best

When something falls on your lap, you can't shove it away, so you deal with it. She did it wonderfully by adapting and practicing to get her independence, which is really important for self-esteem and mental health. I'm sure it wasn't easy, it must have been tough times, but she made it. I'm happy she has the support she needs to be the best version of herself, having support is really important in these situations, so please guys if it ever happens to you be in a situation like this with a friend, family member or community member, ask if this person needs you (don't go and do things without their consent! check if they need you and if they do, ask how you can best help them. it doesn't offend at all)

since 3 years im on the way to becoming blind and i cant deal with the fact that this is happening. how can you people be that strong? how is that even possible, for me its the worst case scenario and i just cant deal with it. just how can i change my mind about that topic? i feel so useless even thou im -just- on the way to becoming it.

For the girl in the video, if you want to make a name for yourself and do something interesting like that you need to talk with a young lady in her twenties named Molly Burke. She is a blind lady as well but she has truly made a name for herself, written a book and does all her own things and I think would be a good person for you to talk to.

this story is really personal to me as someone who is currently unexplainable loss of sight and no doctor has been able to tell why, the relief of knowing that I am not alone is unimaginable huge, to know that it is not just my mind playing tricks on me and that i still will be able to live my life

She has such a positive attitude! I really admire the way she looks at life and how she reacts to her situation! Such a strong young women! The fact that she-s able to accept what god has given her and the way she deals with it really admires me. Her attitude is something that we should all look up to!

Just so you know jay youre an incredible woman if you can go blind and make it manage. Im sure thats not easy for anyone. Having a reality taken away from you seems too harsh. But the fact that you can manage through it say alot about your ego.

It's really hard to think about what you would see when you are blind.
What I mean is, you wouldn't just see black, you just see. nothing.
It really messes up my brain sometimes.

Maybe it's something brain related. Have they done any MRIs on her brain? Maybe it's a tumor. -

I can't begin to imagine what her mother felt, seeing her daughter that way. Lord, continue to grant this family strength and joy!

So there was high pressure in her eyes so they cut them open and claim to not know how she became blind. i can take a guess.
