A WOMAN has told of how baring her face on social media has helped her accept her cystic acne. Throughout her teenage years, Karen, now 28, had clear skin. But then, in her early twenties, she was hit by an outbreak of cystic acne. In May 2021, she also developed rosacea, leaving her in so much pain that she would often wake up to a bloodied pillow, and found that even smiling hurt. Her confidence was so impacted that she would not even let her own family see her without makeup. Then one day, she was scrolling Instagram, when she came across the #acnepositivity community - thousands of people sharing unfiltered photos of their skin in a bid to normalise acne and fight back against stigma. Realising her own story could help others, she took the plunge and shared a barefaced selfie - the first thing she had posted on social media in five years. Now, she continues to share her story in the hope she can inspire others. She concluded: Now, I look at my textured skin and I embrace it. I'm proud of my body and how hard it works daily

Try organic chaga cream. What sets it apart from other products is that it is good for every type of skin and for all types of acne. It's organic. No side effects. Very fast visible results. I am telling you all this from the experience of my patients who have had magical results with this cream. I recently heard that jennifer lopez has been using this cream for 15 years. It doesn't surprise me in the least. It is true that the official pharmacy does not want to advertise this cream because they have no profit at the moment, when they figure out a way to make a profit on it, expect modified chaga creams that will not be effective at all.

I never had acne. But once I slept on a new pillow and I got something in my face that looked similar. It was very deep under the skin and hurted so much. It took weeks until the poison from this pillow was out of my skin. When I see that it reminds me of that time. At least I did not care about how it looked like, because the pain was much worse.
When one gets sick or older at least you stop thinking so much about how you look. It is nice and more important to feel good and that you can do what you want to do.

Oh wow
You are such a strong woman.
I suffered, not as bad as you. It took me a few years, wasn't painful physically but emotionally. I finally have 1 product I use daily that has cleared my skin and all I need other than a face wash and a beauty oil.
It gets better, it isn't permanent, our stories are all different and the same-

Have you tried Accutane? It might miraculously clear your face up. It shocking how it changed my life when I had severe cystic acne. My friends were all shocked at how deeply it helped and improved my life. Acne positivity is awesome but please try Accutane or you might end up w severe scarring once the acne clears. Hugs xx

I recently tried a product called Cystic Acne Treatment by BellamiLuxx. I am 76 and have developed jawline acne that never heals. I have been to several dermatologists with no luck. Would you review this product? I have had excellent results and wonder if others would have similar results. I bought it on Amazon.

I think it would be interesting for people with severe acne to get together for a long weekend at a resort where you can have seminars, meet with doctors, and share your experiences. The most important part would be to live amongst people with the same condition to gain a feeling of normality and community.

Yes you have acne, however to me anyway it is easy to see that you are a pretty girl. Support is very important and prayer is one type of support not to forget to use. It is easy to forget that when faced with such high levels of stress. Again I can see a pretty young woman there and I bet other men do also!

I need a review from someone, for me some times breaking the pimples help it heal fast, and if I don't break it, it take like 3-4 weeks to heal one pimple and still cause scars, so what you guys think about it, I am going through difficult condition just as she, not that much but still lot

I got a bad allergic reaction in the middle of my forehead. The doctor recommended this medicine to heal it. That-s working really well, but it is causing some bumps around it. It-s not like they-re full on -pimples -but still it-s pretty annoying and embarrassing. Tysm for this video--

Physical appearance matters and you got the best features. Look at you! How beautiful your physique, eyes and hairs are! Acne isn't which is permanent, eventually they'll go, just be patient. You don't need anyone's sympathy and anyone's compliment that yeah you're beautiful. YOU'RE!

Also, a family member had cystic acne and was put on a high blood pressure medicine. I don-t know the name of it but it cleared it up. She tried everything but I don-t know if she tried Accutane. She had lots of pain and was so sensitive to the touch. Now she is clear.

I went through a similar experience. No acne until mid 20s. Cystic but not as bad as hers. I finally overcame it but left with scars. In my 30s it was cold sores on my cheeks! I dont have desired facial structure so I my confidence has always been crappy.

Most people who suffer with cystic acne are lacking vitamins and minerals. Ask your family doctor to do a basic panel test for your vitamin & mineral levels. I was prescribed zinc and magnesium and within 3 months my cystic acne cleared up

Doctors need to come up with an answer about why this happens. Because something in her body is causing that, and medicine could fix it. They just need to stop caring about money and start caring more about curing things

I hate when people treat acne as it-s a choice- I have acne, I-ve had it 16 years. I-m 32- tried everything known to man but it-s ok- I can-t stop it or change it. People should not treat it like it can be cured --

It's just your hairs constantly scratching your face is the reason for acne.
Tie your hair and pin them up properly.
Don't touch them and soak them with warm water only.
Let me know feedback after week

2: 25 I can totally relate. I did the same thing. I have body dysmorphic disorder about my nose and i know how hard it gets when you hate a part of yourself, especially your face.
I-m so proud of her. ---

you truly are beautiful. Not just physically, but internally. We definitely need more of this positivity. Too much focusing on what beauty should be, but not enough focus on what beauty can be. Stay blessed

And here I am complaining about having only 2 pimples on my face. You are a beautiful woman and in today's society, everyone is judged by looks. We are supposed to be judged by character. Keep going strong
reply

as someone who has struggled with acne since third grade, this lady is an inspiration because acne eats away your confidence entirely. that fact she never let go of her confidence is amazing.
reply

I myself got acne and theres nothing to -embrace-
In my opinion everyone who got acne should not try to embrace it, they should see it as a disease and work towards eliminating it.

I have been there! I was wondering are you off the iud birth control. Having had cystic acne I know how emotionally draining it can be, sending you a big hug. Stay strong.

Girl is brave
I'd have run to the deepest darkest cave and never come out again
Kudos love.
But for real, a dermatologist can help with that
