WHEN STROLLING around Camden Town, chances are you will come across Anderson Garcia Rodrigues, better known as Zombiepunk, who is a local phenomenon for his unique look. With a Mohawk and a body covered in tattoos and piercings, Anderson is regularly spotted standing by the famous Camden Lock with a sign that reads 'help a punk get drunk'. He is so well known that everyone wants to take a picture with him - someone even made a Zombiepunk doll after him. Originally from Brazil, the artist decided to move to the UK after struggling to be accepted for who he was. Anderson, who has now become part of Camden's tourist attraction, told Truly: Everyone doesn't accept how I look. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. Everyone thinks I'm the devil

As a punk, I know the feeling of people being rude to you. As an example. I-m used to getting looks as I have been into punk culture since I was 7. When I was 11 I was walking with my mate who was 13 at the time to the shops. He has a Mohawk and a even now he-s 19 and he still frightens me a bit. A woman walked past us and spat on me, and said to my friend -I can-t believe your allowed to dress like that-. Shocking behaviour from a grown woman.

This isn't about his look, but his day revolves around going to a bridge and beginning for money to get drunk? That sounds like a meaningless existence. I guess he does what he does because his look has limited his options, or begging is easier than working a real job. The government probably pays for everything else.

He has good vibes. And people like him make Camden what it is. People say 'he has no job' but would miss street performers and people like this in big cities. It is part of the experience and brings tourism. Also hard on the body to be out in the street all day interacting with people and dealing with rough comments too.

I think that this guy's style is really unique and beautiful and I believe that he can be the kindest person. I have got a little problem with his attitude. Maybe he could use all his time demonstrating for good things, informing people e. g. about the situation in Brazil. Getting drunk, if so, leads nowhere, I'm afraid.

I held the door for an older gentleman the other day with my more heavily tattooed hand and you could see he was genuinely taken aback as if he didn't expect it from me of all people. Makes me sad that people think of it in such a bad light. Tattoos are just a way to tell people your story. Nothing bad about them at all.

Thank you very much for the release! And I'm 40 years old, unfortunately I have a daughter with disabilities. -
I am writing this comment just to wish you a good mood) The main thing is not to lose heart, everything will be fine! Good luck to all)

In a million years I would not suspect this guy was the devil. So maybe the best disguise he could have
I'm very sure in this day and age when the world is like this. the devil has alot better things to do than hang out on Camden bridge with tramps.

He's a goofball and contributes nothing to society and doesn't have any idea what punk even means.
-I don't support the government- says the guy repping all the current thing flags.

This is nothing punk about this guy, this is so cringe punk, and that whole thing is a European thing, this guy's not even European. This is just cringe and weird.

I remember seeing a article were he said once when he lived in brazil that a dude poured gasoline and tried to light him on fire because of how he looked

I am for having a different loo. I love the punk but I do think you should work, pay tax. Charing people for a photo is a bit corny, just IMO.

He-s from my country, and yet Brazil is a very diverse country, we still struggle with culture and skin color issues-
Such a shame-

Being a punk zombie is fine if that-s what you want to do but writing/spray painting the sign of the devil is a whole other thing -

Always impressed with people who can go through life without working for the man, life is a serious grind and he-s got a good gig
reply

The question is. Does he have a job or does he collect welfare. If he collects welfare. Send him back where he came from
reply

Now I'm not hating on his style by any means, but why does he remind me of (Rufio) From Peter Pan. -Rufioooooo-
reply

This clown has nothing to do with punk. A mere poser makes a star out of himself. He has no idea what punk is-
reply

Well if he-s not mentally deficient or ill then it comes back to ego and wanting to attract attention-.
reply

Be yourself - do what makes you happy - be unique! I walk through the crowd, not walk with the crowd -
