CHANCE, from Saskatchewan, Canada, struggled to control his weight from a young age, using food as a source of comfort. As he grew older, the problem snowballed and he was regularly eating over 10, 000 calories a day. His mental health suffered as a result of his size and Chance found himself losing control: I wasn't working, I was very depressed, it definitely affected my marriage. It really messed a lot of things up. Chance's weight took a toll on his physical health too - numerous trips to hospital and a brush with death when an infection turned septic meant that Chance's wife Jen never knew whether he would still be alive when she came home from work. During one of his last trips to hospital, a nurse took Chance's weight and he was shocked to hear that he had hit 600lbs. That was the turning point for Chance - and the people around him were on hand to help. A friend offered him nutritional advice, his cousin-in-law gave him the beginnings of a home gym and Chance committed to turning his life around. He lost an incredible 300lbs in just over a year and a half - hitting his initial goal in October 2020, and dropping from a 78 to a 38 waist. And although his loose skin left over from his drastic weight loss is something Chance still has to contend with on a daily basis, he is in a much better place: Mentally now, I'm a lot more focused on my goals, focused on my future and focused on my life. I'm thankful for the things I have, I'm thankful for this second chance that I've been given. And he's not finished yet - Chance is now gearing up for the last push to hit his target weight of 250lbs

I watched a video where a man had a lot of weight to lose he was very much overweight. He was concerned about having all the extra skin when he lost the weight cuz he was pretty. He said he would do like 5 or 10 lb weightslifting them so he could do more with less if that makes sense. He said that is how he did is workout regiments and so it may have went a little slower but it helped with retracting all that loose skin. It's been awhile since I seen the video I wish I could remember which one and where it was. if this guy had his skin removed he would be more down to the weight of where he wants to be. But that's going to take time and surgery and money unfortunately. I hope he keeps up the good work and hard work

1: 23 Chips, cookies, and candy is one thing. However, anyone out there struggling with their weight, like me, the one thing you can do to keep you work weight from ballooning in to the 400lb and beyond is cut out the soda. Soda is why people get this huge especially when someone consumes 2 liter bottles a day. Besides coffee and soda for drink I gave up sugary drinks years ago. Drinking water becomes almost a nervous habit. A good habit for that matter.

Well done to you and your wife - you're both amazing. Iknow how horrible cellulitis can be - before I lost over 50lbs I was also hospitalised five times with it, including one time where, like you, I got sepsis as a complication. I've had it a couple more times since losing all the weight, but now I only need a course of oral antibiotics to clear it up, instead of five days of cocktails of different antibiotics through an IV four times a day.

Congratulations to both of you! At my biggest I was at 330ish and at my lowest at 150s. I gained back to 214 and now back to 170s and I want to be 160s. It's always a journey. We will never be done and we will never beable to give up on getting our mental health care. I am proud of you and thank you both for sharing.

You are awesome! I-m glad that you decided the life change and not just give up and eventually die. Maybe to break the Plato, bump up even more veggies and less meat. Keep it up man! I constantly struggle with weight loss. I totally understand the mental struggles too. Hugs.

I've been dieting right and I just consumed bread with everything even though I eat vegetables and walked. I cannot lose the weight. I think it's the bread that's causing me from not losing anything. So i'm worried about how i'm going to stop eating bread anybody has suggestions

I no this was sooooo hard for them! The wrong type of foods taste sooooooo good! It's hard to say no to them and to eat healthier! I'm very happy they had the strong wills to change. I lost my best friend n the world to obesity! Have the will to change people or WILL DIE!

Way to go! God gave us our shell to take care of. I had to do a lot of prayer for guidance, and I went on my own journey, I was 340, and weigh 173. 6 It's Your own special Journey. Be blessed. God's got you!

Fantastic job! And, keep clapping for each other (and jump up and down with happiness) for each pound the other one loses - That-s the support everyone needs and deserves!

He looked like the size of Brendan Fraser on The Whale movie at his heaviest. I am so happy and proud that he is able to win his battle. Congratulations, sir!

Have the extra skin surgically removed if you can afford it or if medically cleared to undergo surgery/anesthesia. That would be around 50 lbs.

I just recently hit a plateau and was able to punch through it with a 5 day water fast. These two have made incredible progress though

300 is still morbidly obese. Don-t stop yet. 250 is obese also. I-m 233 and still have my weight issues.
