I'm A Trans Dad & My Child Has Gender Neutral Pronouns - MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY

TRANS DAD, Danny, had always dreamt of being a parent - and nine years into their transition, that dream unexpectedly came true. Out of one of the lowest points in Danny's life, as they were struggling with addiction, came their greatest blessing - their now 3-year-old child, Wilder. Danny was born female and raised as such - surrounded by makeup boxes and jewellery and high heels. When Wilder was born, Danny made it their mission to practise gender creative parenting - referring to Wilder using gender neutral pronouns and giving them access to a range of toys, clothes and experiences that do not confine them to a box. As Danny told truly: I've seen how our gendered stereotypes impact children and I didn't want that to happen for Wilder. But Danny's parenting choices have been met with fierce criticism online: On a daily basis I have hundreds of comments that say 'Poor child', 'CPS should remove that child'. But Danny has found comfort in the positive comments that wash away all the negatives and they are now laser-focused on ensuring Wilder can live a safe and happy life: For Wilder's future, I hope they're met with kindness and I hope that they have more self-love than I could have ever imagined possible for myself. Wilder is a really powerful little being, they are here to change this world.

Why're people still like this HE is raising his kid in a way to show that they can be whoever they want. He is an amazing person and is raising his child amazingly. It's 2024. You all are just a-holes if yall are still having Homophobia and Transphobia like it's the 1900s. The name may be new, but they've always been around. The LGBTQ community are some of the most amazing and wonderful people I've ever met. If yall can't see that, then that's a u problem, not Danny's, not Wilder's, not mine, not anyone's. Like, I get if yall grew up in very conservative Christian families, or if yall can't support it because ur muslin or something, but like, the rest of yall C'mon, seriously We're all human, and equal rights for those of the LGBTQ, muslins, and those of colour doesn't mean less rights for anyone else. It ain't pie

Poor child. I can only imagine what he has to go through at school. And to know that your mom looks like a man is just disgusting. It's a pity that trans people are not forbidden to give birth, people have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies, but they have no right to involve children in it. In addition to possible psychological problems, the child may also have physical abnormalities, because this woman pretending to be a man took hormones, and this can also negatively affect the child. Why can't trans people realize that by giving birth they put their children in danger

I am so glad she is sober now and I hope she stays that way and deals with the reasons for the addiction. I truly hope she finds the healing inside she needs. As long as the child grows up a free thinker, she'll/he'll be okay. She/he will see the truth and will more than likely change her/his name when she's/he's old enough. But right now, she's loved and protected. We can't pull every child out of a home with mental/emotional health issues. There's too many of them.

Wilder is going to grow up to be a beautiful person who will make such a difference in this world! Danny is giving them a dream childhood full of love and kindness, and that is all that matters! Perceived gender is not nearly as important as many people make it out to be, and it’s sad that so people see the world in such a black and white way, when in actuality, there is a whole spectrum of beuatiful colors

I think its positive giving your child a choice of toys to play with but this is gone way too far. This woman is clearly confused and needs help to find out what her issue is. It's not fair putting her confusion on her child. The world is hard enough to negotiate as it is without putting all this crap onto a child. Children aren't here to make your life better. You should be making their life better.
reply

Do what you want in life when you are grown up, but don't confuse your children unnecessarily. No child is confused, they learn girls have this, and boys have that. The little ones mother who has a beard and decided she wants to look like a man [with a uterus] is not the norm, she belongs to a very, tiny majority. The child is however almost certainly a 'normal' child. Why confuse it Why

What bothers me the most about gender-neutral parenting is that parents project their own experiences onto their children. Because they had issues with gender roles, they assume the child must feel the same way. It will figure out who they want to be on their own and this is where parents should be supportive. Children need a safe space at home, not gender neutral clothes or toys.

I think when it comes to raising a child, I believe it is possible to scrap gender stereotypes or roles without necessarily raising the child gender neutral. However, I believe that Danny's heart is in the right place and that they are a wonderful papa. You can tell how much they love their child and just want what's best for them. I wish them both the very best

My baby daughter loves playing with trucks and baby dolls but she is all girl, I think that it's sad that people are driven to put themselves in any boxes, we're all people and everyone is different but biologically there are only two genders Male and Female. And the science is settled so to speak. Everyone should love themselves and stop creating even more division

Trans dad gives birth! If you feel like you're not in the right body then why are you still using your reproductive system the way you used it before transitioning So you want to be a man and probably want to have a penis but still have intercourse with men like a woman would do Make it make sense! A man with male genital system can never give birth!

Wow these comments are really changing just even a year ago everyone would be pretending this kind of thing is ok
My niece’s bf has 2 moms, no dad he’s 21 and you can tell it’s a huge burden for him loving parents are a huge blessing, but still it’s confusing and weird for the kids that have to go through life like this good luck Wilder xx

I say stop judging start listening open your ears and listen because who are you to say that this child needs to be taken from their father it's not your place nor is it mine let that child be as stop saying that the child needs to be taken you don't know the situation he's got a loving adopted grandparent that loves him to death

Better beard than me! I wonder myself if Transgenderism can transfer to the child in Genetic coding, Supposedly Transgenderism accounts for only 1. 5% of the world population (If that is even accurate) yet many kids of trans parents are transgender. What do you think Nature or Nurture ALL LOVE HERE! Just asking.
reply

I think almost everyone in the comments just became def when Danny said it’s all about having access to different things and DECIDE if that’s what they like or that’s what they like they aren’t doing anything or forcing anything. The kid gets to choose and not be TOLD who they should be.

Ever notice that whenever a transwoman is positively highlighted by the media, it's because she's running for political office, or hailed for having power in whatever company And then when a transman is highlighted, it usually has to do with him being pregnant Hmmmm, wonder why that is
reply

What they're doing isn't new. There's entire countries that have raised gender neutral babies, and they end up identifying more with the gender the were born as. So. It's not gonna work out the way they think it is, but it's definitely NOT going to ruin they're child.
reply

I am so sorry these less than human fools are insulting your beautiful family. I'm glad Gender & Women Studies is allowed in my state because EDUCATION is LIBERATION- and those ppl insulting you are IDIOTS! I accept you and your TransParency is a BLESSING in this world PaPa

My children have been raised to be themselves. My youngest loves balls and stuffed toys. And recently loves dolls more. She is what she is. My other children are who they are. You're doing great! I am a single mom raising a girl. I am both mother and father.
reply

So many children grow up with no loving parents and no room to be their authentic selves. This child is wanted, loved, nurtured and protected. I'd say Papa is doing a great job, far better than alot of the judgemental mfs in this comment section.

Why do FTM transgenders think that having tattoos and facial hair is being a man! Being a man is more than hair and body ink. Being a man is about trust, honor, integrity, loyalty and responsibility. That’s a real man!
