what is the difference between 1) I have been studying since morning 2) I have been studying. is it possible to use present perfect continuous without mentioning the time? in many English learning websites, i saw present perfect continuous sentences without mentioning the time. what does it mean when the time is not mentioned.1) I HAVE BEEN STUDYING 2) WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING 3) MARY HAS BEEN FEELING A LITTLE DEPRESSED.please help me with this I am going mad.

Hi bbc, if John died today morning and he was in depression. Which is correct?
1. He has been taking medicines for depression for 6 months
Or 2. He had been taking medicines for the last 6 months?
Or 3. He was taking medicines for 6 months?
Please clarify

In one of the given examples you say 'This chicken has already been cooking for two hours'. The phrase sounds a bit off to me. It sounds like the chicken knows how to cook. It just sounds a bit funny. :D
