The ocean is a complicated place dense with life, feeding other life. Lexo: Yes, krill are zooplankton. Plankton just means it's not a strong swimmer and it mostly just drifts with the currents. Jellyfish are zooplankton too. Stuff like floating algea and cyanobacteria are phytoplankton.
