This clip from the BBC's Life of Mammals looks at the quest to be the dominant male in a group of grey kangaroos. To do this, they fight and winning the fight means that male will father most of the next babies. The little joey kangaroos have an entertaining attempt as well

1. If a joeys mother dies, can the joey be adopted/fed by another roo?
2. Why was the Joey not cared for in the mob if mother died? Or does the joey just get abandoned or has the mob moved on?
3. Do Kangaroos tend to hang around the same area for years or do they move around?
4. Kangaroos in the mob clean each other is that right? I have this little roo around my house with massive ticks all over her ears. She has since died which is so sad. I think her mother was killed by car.

as they prance around like they want to bonk each other, the mammals seem to fight, kicking, biting and scratching like feral hookers wanting a client, the male then prepares to mate the female and eyes the son as if to say 'son, you can watch, but if you come anywhere near your mother your skull is going to get smashed into this tree trunk' Very Australian indeed. such magnificent creatures.
