Although seemingly harmless, kittens at play demonstrate the journey from cute fluffball to mini predator. Peregrine: I have cats and I learned that they need to be taught to hunt. My cats were not interested in hunting. That changed when I played and taught one cat. Just one mother cat. Then that one mother cat played and taught all the others hunting. Now I wake up with headless rats and birds under my bed.

My cats never made it past the play with the prey part. Which works out well. they just tire the mice out then I can easily catch them and toss outside. If cats could find and patch the holes where mice get in, now that would be something.

The cute kittens are useless for 2months depending on their mothers milk, many humans are useless and depend on their mothers milk for 40 damn years, humans are so superior.

So how does my cat, who wasn't taught this by any cat, become the formidable hunter that he is? Mice, small birds, pigeons, crows and seagulls

We once had a cat in our farm that used to hunt rabbits, mostly small ones, when she had little kittens she would bring one every morning for them

Cats aggressively play with leaves while the camera sharply cuts to big cat cubs playing scarily and the background music goes owo

I showed this to my cat. He replied:
_Huh! Uncouth little felines. What a terrible parenting by their mom __in a heavy British accent_

Very effective technique to interpolate the actions of the big cats with the development of the kittens - great post - thanks.

We've got a lot of mountain lions in the states. You want some? Let's bring predators back into the Scottish landscape.
