Deep in a rainforest in Panama, Steve gets the rare chance to visit a wild harpy eagle nest, complete with turkey-sized chick. Deadcats: In the monkey kingdom, this huge bird with crown of feathers, hooked beak, huge feet with enormous claws, coming at certain times to look for the sacrificial youngster into your village (home tree) and flies on powerful wings. it all must seem like as if a dragon comes to take some away, never to be seen ever again!
Can you imagine monkey bedtime stories about the Dragon that comes to take away bad monkey children who aren't good and pays attention to the monkey parents!
The Harpy Dragon of the monkey village! LOL.

People dont know that but Harpy eagles are very gentle to be an Eagle If the mother was really interested in attack they probably will be in serious shit haha I speak by personal experience I Live in Panama my backyard is nearby a nest and we play under the tree, the mother is actually calm other birds are hella territorial when they have babies, sometimes we let them chickens so they can eat properly: )

This reporter was having a bad luck. First, after mentioning the claw can pierce through the gloves, the eagle all of a sudden wanted to escape. Then, a very rare chance of encountering the mother in the nest right after saying they will be in big trouble. Poor guy. I wonder if they gave him a raise after that momma eagle life & death encounter.

I love how they sound so cute unexpectedly, yet they're huge majestic creatures. It seems cruel to not let a bird fly freely. Leonardo DaVinci used to buy caged animals at the market just to set them free.

These cameramen who are intruding in this beautiful birds territory DESERVE to be clawed by the birds. They've shown NO respect for the birds.

Is it fair to touch a bird's nest? What I knew was if bird suspect/saw someone touched her nest/eggs they abandon their nest.
