Having been raised on a working ranch the reason they did not show the calves nursing from their new mom as its not as easy as just putting them together. Daisy most likely had to be restrained in order for the new calves to nurse for quite some time. All animals identify their babies by smell. When the milk travels completely through their bodies and when the new mother identifies the smell as her own on the calves only then will she allow them to suckle freely. Until then she will not let them drink and if they attempt further some will even kill the calves. Way too bad that they left this part out. This stands true with any animal but mostly with cows, horses, buffalo, goats and sheep. Pigs will kill and piglet that is not theirs.

What a false dilemma! Why don't they leave them alone and let nature decide? The ''vet'' plays God, while all he really wants to be is a shooting hunter. But that would be too much for the liking of viewers and it wouldn't be profitable at all.

So they took away the cow's own calves like how a dairy cow is usually treated. But this time instead of us humans stealing the cow's milk, the three buffalo calves did. Not exactly a nice story.

Why wouldn't you just wait and see which calf belongs to which mother, then remove the single calf to nurse the Jersey? Something fishy was going on here.

You need 2 cows for these 3 babies. Very poor decition. If you cant aford these animals your in the wrong buisness. Please get another cow, unfair for daisy
reply

nice, except all of these beautiful animals will eventually be sent to slaughter. you're saving them for an early death at the slaughterhouse.
reply

Uh, not one part of this video was about a cow nurturing ANYTHING, the last clip is her running from them, LOL. Change the title
reply

Im glad they gave the babies to the cow. Jersey cows produce a lot of milk and the poor buffalo calves were undoubtedly hungry.
