My heart is breaking. My spirit grieves for the loss and the pain that baby is feeling.
Im also humbled by the purity of emotion I witnessed.
Humans think WE are at the top of the food chain. GOD help the entire planet and everything on it, if that be the case! All of creation does what it is ordained by GOD to do with a few aberrations.
We, on the other hand have that free will, that sometimes gets us in trouble when our spirit gets haughty.
Please forgive us, LORD

Elephants are one of my favorite animals to see this is very heartbreaking this is why more people need to cherish what beautiful things are in life and that we need to look out for each other just like elephants because we don't have much time in this life we need to spend it as amazing as possible and to the fullest

This is so sad, the baby knows what's going on, they're such smart animals, this must be traumatic for them, dying elephants usually are away from the herd because it is devastating for them to find a deceased of their kind, she's in a better place now though
reply

But won't the baby be traumatized for 1) being taken from his mother and 2) from his family? His mother is dead but what if his herd came back and he was gone. Then they've lost two members of their family, no?

I wish my programmer husband will get his ass out his chair and eyes out his screen to study elephants with me for my future animals documentary. He could drive the jeep while I'll hold the videocamera
