With little competition and few predators, the Brown Trout in New Zealand has been known to grow to epic proportions. These prize fish sometimes reaching a metre in length and weighing up to 5 kilos have developed monstrous appetites and a bloody thirsty penchant for Mice. Taken From Wild New Zealand

Around 1970 when I was 13 I had a collection of snakes that I fed mice and rats and my dad had a system of 3 small ponds that recirculated water amongst themselves. It had mostly feeder goldfish that grew to about 8 inches max but at some point someone brought a live brown trout about a foot long and the trout lived for years in the pond. I regularly would toss a live mouse for the trout to eat. Big deal, it's a predator fish.

Producer: Dudes, we're missing a segment. 4-5 minutes. Any ideas?
Camera Dude: I've got about 11 seconds of trout and mice footage?
Producer: Perfect! We'll stretch it into oblivion - slow-motion nature porn always sells.

Dude catches fish then lets it go. and you're telling that is a sport! i. if so please clarify who is New Zealand's current Olympic contender for this alleged sport.

The ultimate in clickbait, in that it is aimed at anglers and wins. Truth is, that the trout would have anything appearing to swim across it's field of view.
