USA: Watch Blue Planet II on BBC America - 9pm Saturdays from 20th January 2018. Karena: And now here in Trinidad we have more than one turtle watching sites where persons bring their families to educate them on the leatherback turtles and how we can help them. It really is a beautiful thing. The last time I went however, we had a major problem with seaweed. It was blocking the turtles from coming on the beach to lay their eggs but they hired tractors to clear areas on the beach to allow them to come. Amazing work. Hope you guys can visit sometime.

very emotional to see a wise man making the right choice against the ill non sense of the common, like Marcus Aurelius said: stop to argue what a good man should be, be one! asides he is also a smart guy who understand that you have to find a way for people to see that is their own interest to preserve the planet.

Why can't we all be like him? He sees the world how we all should. It's a gift and we are abusing it, taking it for granted. This needs to stop. There shouldn't have to be people protecting the turtles, they should already be safe. We need to act now and make this planet safe again.

I remember this time well and sailed in the Carribean in winters of 85, 86, 87 We even had a guest who bought a turtle from locals that came out to the yacht to sell us a turtle. We then released it back once the men had gone. Well done Len, brave and honest.

Ayy I live in Trinidad. Lovely to see us on the scene for once. Our turtles are increasingly endangered as they get hunted here: (

imagine walking along the beach alone then suddenly encountering a rare Attenborough laying on the sand next to a giant sea turtle

Preservation of all animals should be international agreement with systems and financial support placed toward achieving this goal.
