Duckling Swept Away From Parent Wild Patagonia BBC Earth

This mother duck must make a hard sacrifice in order to ensure the survival of the rest of her family. Groo: Crazy, was just camping w my kids this weekend and seen a duckling floating on by us in some very swift water. I told them and my two girls were upset with me that I didn't jump in to save it. I explained to them that the duck had much more of a chance at survival in that water than I did. The whole thing makes more sense to me now.
