Brian Cox takes us to the frozen landscapes of Pluto, the furthest world from the sun in our solar system, including its spectacular ice mountains education: Just finished watching all 5 episodes, IN FRUSTRATION! Good BBC images and sounds as usual but the presentation lack coherence and logics. For example, Cox appears at various sites portraying planetary landscapes but doesnt announce the names of the locations, keeps you wondering. Then, many questions raised took too long and too slow to answer which could have been made clear with one sentence. And sometimes the progress of making the points are so slow and winding that got me completely lost to what he is trying to tell. Suspenses are good for seconds, not minutes, its a documentary not a horror movie. Also, too many missing scenes or information lags. Each episodes tells the distance of each planet from the sun but doesnt have a comprehensive image to show the distance relations of all eight planets. How could one imagine what Mercury to Suns 58 million km is? When I was told 58 million km, logically I wanted to know the distances of Earth and Mars as references but it doesnt provide that. Worst of all, many topics took 5 or 10 minutes to try to make a point but the final explanations are nowhere near clear. I am a retired man watching documentaries for the past 10 years. I have watched each of Attenboroughs documentaries since 2001 Blue Planet multiple times, among many other great BBC productions. I have watched most if not all previous Cox documentaries. But The Planets is a blunder. For instance NHK Cosmic Front is a much better film. The presentations and discussions are clear and logical, very satisfying to watch.

Anyone who says that Pluto is not a planet does NOT know who they are messing with. Pluto is seriously badass. I mean, this is the Ruler of Scorpio, the Lord of Life and Death, hello! P. S. - If you read the video description, at the bottom it is categorized under Pets & Animals. Say what?

This made me tear up, i remember as a kid thinking pluto was a boring grey world, but its way more amazing than I ever dreamed. We live in such a dynamic and diverse star system, and our planet is the strangest of them all

Please BBC release the music score. This masterpiece needs to be released. I can't believe all your other documentary get their scores released instantly and you leave this wonderful music in the dark.

What if mankind has literally destroyed every planet that we've ever stepped foot on and we just move to the next one? One more planet closer to the sun. What if we make the sun explode?

The music is very beautiful.
Please release the soundtrack of The Planets.
And the music of Super Fast Falcon by the same composer is also very beautiful.

Here in Illinois, there is a once a year thing in which Pluto is recognized as one of the nine Planets. I think I'm lacking some info but its something like that.
