How To Levitate The Edge of Science #01 Is levitation possible? YouTube Originals and BBC Studios bring you The Edge of Science, a scientific dive into the outer reaches of our understanding. Follow host and science enthusiast, Rick Edwards as he taps into the scientific community of YouTube to help him fulfill a lifetime's ambition - to levitate himself. Physics girl (Dianna Cowern) and science inventor, Colin Furze, join Rick and together, they will experiment their way into getting Rick off the ground, by physics alone. Can they do it?

smaller kidney stones are already getting disrupted by sound focusing. (certain types of at least, because it depends on their composition. And commercial levitation without producing noise or airstriction: magnetism. because it is so quiet. And the practice of this is the proof of feasability. Maglev trains exist. Maglev record players exist. The EDS trains (dynamic repelling principle, can be optimized by halbach arrays) needs speed. And intense cooling of the supercondicting magnets. The Transrapid (EMS - electromagnetic suspension) does not need speed to levitate. And no cooling. It levitates already at 0 speed.

Ok so gravity is caused by mass, sure sure. how do you explain the centrifugal force on a galaxys outer arms being matched by the gravity of an object (the galactic discs core) being too far away to exert its pull on said arms, to maintain the spiral galaxy to spin at a steady, even rate instead of being a clump of stars crashing into each other? Just asking, you know, being an observer and all. :)

This is the future of our science: some young people taking a rabbit out of the hat and playing with danger, a circus show.
I mean, with these 4 girls (2 at a time) I too would levitate.
After 100 years of Nikola Tesla patented the UFO and inventing free energy, this is a SHAMEEEEEEEEEEE

Science theory of beginning of life from material elements like oxygen or hydrogen or any is not proven. Can science make life from this elements as prove in laboratory. Is not possible. This means that this theory is just unproven speculation

Good job Rick, you did it. Did what? Find a dude that made a levitating hoverboard and Rick asked the dude if he could take it for a ride. And then he did it. Yea Woo Hoo. Congratulations Rick

I learned nothing from this vid. I learned and they learned all of this content from other vids.
SHE IS TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO ME HOW MAGNETS ARE MAGNETIC! AND HOW GRAVITY PULLS YOU DOWN

Interesting how a supposedly reputable broadcasting company replicates demonstrations by others with no reference to the brilliant people that invented these concepts and technologies.

This thing is that which that can be done without use of any external resources from your own body but for making money worst system and political financial control future. Good luck.

Wrong! So much of this is incorrect big time! Gravity is not a thing! How do you think it's cool to promote such things! Make a pat two with the facts!

you could easily use a super conductor in a spacecraft, its cold enough up there, just figure out how to make it move forward out there
