It is believed that reindeer once roamed the land in the Scottish Highlands, and that wild populations were wiped out 10, 000 years ago. Could they be brought back to their native range?

Fun fact about reindeer, many people theorise that rudolf is a female, because it has antlers. It ks true that males lose their antlers in October, aftrr the breeding season. But what people don't know, is that male reindeer, that are between 1-3 years old, actually don't lose their antlers until February - April. But males that are castrated, might keep their antlers for 2 years. + they like to get high kn mushrooms in November, which makes them go all over the place and walk in cirkles

You had to mention global warming! More propaganda by the BBC, shouldnt have expected any less. Earths climate has been changing for 4. 5 billion years and mans impact on it is about 1% at most. Yes we need to clean up the worlds dumps/landfills and recycle, replace habitats taken over and encroached apon by man, and stop over fishing. Need not greed is logical in our lives and in turn will benifit all earth.

I think I'm a reindeer as I also have a hairy nose.
This is such a positive story. And what a beautiful place. I'd love to visit there next spring/summer.
Sad to hear about all the issues that disturb and affect these beautiful animals. Thanks for all you do.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Lost me on climate change. In the thouands of years these great creatures have been around, there have been 4 ice ages. So they can handle it

This was an interesting and informative video. It would have been even better if it was in focus so you could see the finer details.

I like the 180 degrees for the most part. Although if you are prone to headaches or vertigo then don't use this too much.
