I wish my dog liked swimming. He wont take a step outside of a boat. I always see other people at the marina with dogs who happily run down the dock and leap into the water.
Its seems to only really be hunting breeds that enjoy swimming, correct?

Please dont use tennis ball for dogs. The fuzzy exterior has been designed to survive a hard court surface. Its really hard for dogs teeth. Especially if you use it on a beach when it picks up sand. Try chewing 40 grit sandpaper sometime.

I have a boxer lab mix that can catch fish. I have had hundreds of dogs over the years and this is the first one that can do it. He is also pretty much crazy and so a lot of love/hate with him.

Always clean out your dogs ears with a commercial dog ear cleaning product after you dog goes diving.
If you don't, they will be very prone to ear infections.

The dogs that are bred for water work use their back feet more than the 'dry land' breeds. Except for the yellow Labrador but I suspect he has a hip problem.
