The panic all creatures show when their lives are at stake had me to do strongly believe that all creatures got lives worth living away from the simple process of searching for food and eat it. after years of watching endless number of videos for creatures under attack I reached this conclusion. in the absence of universal languages which would enable to communicate with these creatures we don't what values those creatures lives got in within, do they know love and freindship as an examples for values worth loving life for? Even humans don't show the panic other species show when they face their own certain or near certain death.

Presently the Oxford English Dictionary gives the collective noun for a group of squid as a shoal. There is a petition ( the second time in 10 years) for this to be changed to squad. It has not had many supporters, though. Scientists who study cephalopods say they aren't even sure squid gather into groups at all.

Ive caught a lot of squid 6 to 12 long and its amazing how fast they can eat a baitfish or a big shrimp. Cant imagine how long it would take one of these to eat your legs
