5: 59 Thank you for giving female scientists the credit they deserve! So many female scientists have their names erased due to gender discrimination, but CrashCourse never forgets about the women. This is my first time hearing about Marie Tharp.

Wild how new plate tectonics is. A kid could say to their mom 'Wow, it sure looks like all the countries could stick together like a big puzzle' and she could say 'That's silly, Billy. Go back to playing with your Atomic Energy Lab Kit. '

During divergent plate tectonics, does the new sea floor belong to either of the divergent plates or is that the forming of a new plate

Dwayne is right, Shrek 2 is pretty great! (Also another great video, love the ROV clip too, always hype for some deep sea exploration)
